Due to my Nephew getting married I missed both F unit Friday and my normal Saturday Night Special. Thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and catch up this morning with this late SNS that features F's. Craig Stadter gets the credit for this fine view of BN 724 leading another F and a couple geeps at Longview in April 1977. Chuck Schwesinger collection.
It's not night in my part of the world yet, but I won't be back home until after midnight, so I thought this print scan might make a worthy SNS. From the early Guilford era on the D&H we catch a hodgepodge of colorful power heading east into Bainbridge, NY about to duck under NYS Route 7. All three large systems are represented here with that bright MeC U-Boat stealing the the spotlight.
A westward CN freight passes by the elevator at SNS Harte on the CN Rivers Sub, moments before sunrise is taken over by cloud cover.
Another build that I was gonna upload before Droneuary ended, but entering the Brickarm's contest pushed it back. Hope you guys like it, inspired by Bezor as always. Expect some new builds soon.
An another heavy edition of the daily Chambord to Garneau A469 is rolling along the former 3140 foot-long siding laying deep into Quebec's forest. As the track curved along the Batiscan river behind me, the long climb of Talbot hill lies ahead for the homebound crew.

CP 298, led by 7018 (with the other locos offline), arrives at SNS Fredenstahl West, outside of Emerson MB. Soon enough, a crew change at Noyes MN and this train's journey will continue.
T72 with a classic GP38-2 leading (a favorite of mine) is flying just passing the Station Name Sign Ayr on route from Cambridge to Wolverton.
This is one of my favorite areas to hang out on the Galt sub. The yard here primarily serves the Woodstock Toyota plant and the Cambridge Toyota plant. This results in a lot of predictable 4 axel mainline action, which is a lot of fun to watch.
I've had a couple of sets of slides in my possession for around 20 years now that I picked up off from ebay when searching, "Train Slides". Because of these, and a halfway decent scanner I can clean them up and now do a few "SNS's". One group of slides are mostly around western Pennsylvania. After putting things together I pinned this to be Sharpsburg, PA on the north side of the Allegheny River near Pittsburgh on the Pennsylvania Railroad. We are looking east. An F-7a #9836 is off in the distance and the local power is Baldwin S12 #8992. The unknown photographer did get close to the power so, tomorrow I'll do a "Switcher Sunday". Slide mount stamped at August 1965.
Immediately after a hazy sunrise, 143 wakes up the small hamlet of Boyle on route to Buffalo and ultimately Chicago.

Central SMT Leyland National 2 N37 SNS 823W was one of Centrals 1981 order for 10 Leyland National 2s, all arriving in this all over red livery in December 1980.
N37 is seen in Anderston Bus Station in February 1981 before taking up duties on the 138 limited stop Redline service to Duntocher. This was one of the few early services to try out use of the Clydeside Expressway something that didnt really take off until relatively recently with the First Glasgow One group of services to Balloch.
