It was an incredible morning. Beautiful Mt Hood on the one side and amazing clouds and fog on the other side.
Plateau de Retord, Cuvéry, Ain, France
Located in the center-east of France and close to Geneva (Switzerland), the peaceful and wild landscapes of Jura extend to the South in a vast plateau made of combes, forests, roads and villages.
It is also a famous place for musher training and sled dog races.

Friends gather at he Urban Snow Park on the Montreal Olympic Stadium hill on Sherbrooke Street. With ramps and jumps, and totally free for youngsters of all age :-)
Tried my D7100 for some sports shots for the first time. I really like the AF-System because it's way better than the one of the D5100.

Il parco giochi sulla neve di Tarvisio "completamente rinnovato" è adatto a tutte le età e offre divertentissimi giochi sulla neve: spazi per gli slittini, giostra con gommoni, un’area attrezzata con giochi gonfiabili, due tappeti mobili per l’accesso ai vari settori e il bob su rotaia.

THE FROZEN ROOSTER
Tarvislandia offers fun for young and old even in the summer!

We took a helicopter over towards Wanaka one day to this place, the Snow Farm. I had never been here before. There's all kinds of stuff going on. Dogsledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, etc. Anyway, one of the other special areas here is the car testing area. They have secret next-year models of Alfa Romeos, Mercedes, Audi, etc. A lot of these secret cars have strange
metallic paint that is hard to photograph and more to keep them secret. Obviously, I had permission to take this one photo. See that long building back there behind it? That's full of the new models of cars over the next few years… super secret!

It kind of looks like a salt mine, doesn't it? That's what I was thinking as we helicoptered into this awesome spot between Queenstown and Wanaka.
It's actually a massive cross-country skiing route. I'm not much of a cross-country skier, but I know some people absolutely love it. This would be some sort of panacea for them I suppose. They also have a cabin that you can stay in overnight… x-country ski in, stay the night, the ski out the next day. That sounds fun; I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

My good friend Stefan playing around in the red line at Kläppen snowpark 2011 doing a BS rodeo 540.
Three years ago i shattered my lower spine when i was snowboarding. Got helicopterd to surgery and got some screwes and plates in my back. Almost got paralysed from the waist down and the rehab took about 5 month before i walk normaly again. This day i feelt secured enought too leave my crouches at home and go out in the park for some phototime.
I cant compresse my back anymore, that means no more airtime for me. Atleast i can capture the moment of my mates in the air :)
