The first snowfall. I can feel the snowflakes melt on my nose as I walk down the lane. ♥

No footprints or animal tracks yet in the first big snowfall. The cardinal seems to be confused by all snow.. what happened to autumn? And it was way below zero. An Arctic blast had arrived and the birds had puffed up their feathers to stay warm.

No, that isn't our house...it's actually a detached barn or garage! I especially like the oak tree and the fence railing! But this was taken just over a week ago, when our heavy snow hit, and we actually lost power for nearly 12 hours! That was a first for us! Course, since then, we've had even more snow, and they're calling for blizzard-like conditions. It was -12 degrees this morning, but with the wind chill factor, it felt like -35 degrees! Brrrr! Cold, cold winter! Hope you all enjoy!

An early morning snowfall encrusted this wonderful old truck - kind of nice powder blue and snow with a touch of rust that will be greater once the snow melts.
