And I had to drive 20 miles to Mt. Spokane to find it !! Then a Park Ranger ( a nice guy by the way ) threw me out. I have a Discover Pass but apparently that isn't good enough when the snow flies. Ya gotta have a snow park pass then. I felt like asking, " And if it was clear when I came up but began to snow after I arrived could you write me a ticket? "
Even though we were surrounded by snow, it felt warm. The sun reflected and bounced off the snow to cover us in warmth. you feel almost in the clouds, it’s surreal.
And yet, it’s a simple train ride to the top, no climbing gear needed.

This is what an inch and a half of snow looks like when it turns out to be almost five inches.
The only barn in our immediate area and it's owned by Cook Country.......so I guess one could say that I own a piece of this property in paying county taxes.......
As you walk along the path, the branches cover you, protecting you from the snow above, like the arms of the many protecting the one, enjoying the beauty of nature.

Surprise, our dog, a Border Collie, didn't want to go out in this weather. Could you blame him?
But I was determined to make a beautiful shot that day.
I even risked my precious camera...
The result was well worth it, I love the windswept movement of the snow.
I wish you the best of days and thank you for your time. Magda (*_*)

Always love how snow transforms every thing! My garden birdhouse, which is located under my Wisteria arch, looked so pretty after a snowfall a few weeks back! You can see the vines & brown seed pods hanging in front of it. Best viewed large.
Following on from the my previous panorama www.flickr.com/photos/17469730@N00/51899414091/in/album-7... image of the a snow capped Cheviot hills this is a zoomed in image at 170mm on the 100-400. I found this quite difficult to edit as the hills had a blue haze about them and this maybe a little noisy too . I have another image at 400 mm to post another day, this is Northumberland National park near a town called Wooler .
