A little snippet of a family friend's flower garden; it's truly expansive and so beautiful. Difficult to not stop and look at it in awe 😊
This was taken back in 2015 with an old phone. Western MN.
I admittedly do not like the cropping and know it is not ideal, yet this is the only copy of this photo that I still have. So I figured it was still worth sharing the summer colors! 🌺🌷
To create this I layered together 4 or 5 totally random shots. With the resulting shapes, and after a lot of colourising and contrast tweaking they formed whatever this is!
HSS!
In my house... ! lol.
The movie was great last night (quite a few of you asked). It was less like the book than any other but good enough to stand alone.
I'm working today and all weekend and have only had snippets of time on Flickr this morning. As always, I will catch up as catch can.
A snippet of Baldhill Creek in Barnes County, North Dakota
- July 2019
Crop and pastureland in a shallow area of the Sheyenne River Valley. Baldhill Creek meanders through the land. Plains and Prairies galore. I post a lot of photos in the area of the Sheyenne River containing the Baldhill Dam, which creates Lake Ashtabula. Baldhill Creek runs off of this waterway as well.
This afternoon I was out crop scouting as well as exploring. Not too long after taking this photo a late afternoon rainstorm moved through; heavy, intense rain all the while being so balmy outside. The prairie trails definitely took a beating from the sudden downpour. I wish I could have captured some sky photos afterwards.
A snippet of landscape taken at the end of the day while driving. It is the quintessential micro-scene replicated ad infinitum across the hill country where I live and travel.

A snippet of home. Nothing feels like home when you have lost an adored pet (the word pet doesn't even begin to convey the place Oliver filled in my life). We shared 17 years, and he was like a cherished, innocent precious little child to me. He was truly the love of my life, and always will be. When we love with our whole heart, we are destined to have our hearts at some point shattered. It is the gift and the curse of loving unconditionally.
I want to thank all of my friends who have reached out to me about my beloved Oli, giving so much of yourselves to me, your love, collective wisdom, and emotional guidance and support at a time I’ve felt most emotionally empty. This has derailed me to such an extent I sometimes think I’m losing my mind with the heartache. You are all angels to think of me and worry about me and care about me. In friendship, I’m blessed, and I love you all more than words can convey. ❤️
Late winter capture of trumpeter swan bedded down on Peltier Lake - Anoka County, central Minnesota. Imaged in Feb. of 2021.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
Jasper has been falling a lot lately. He wears non skid socks, but still loses balance. Sometimes after falling, he'll be content just lying there like this for awhile. More and more, he needs help in getting back up and that's been the tricky part when we have to leave him home alone. So far, we're managing, but I know it'll only get worse...
Black bears in Minnesota
Featured snippet from the web
Black bears are one of Minnesota iconic species. It is the only bear species that inhabits the state today. ... They are found mainly in the northern third of Minnesota, but range as far south as the interface between the forest and agricultural zones, where they utilize corn and other crops for subsistence.
"Astro snippets" sind ein paar Zeitraffer und Eindrücke die quasi nebenbei entstanden sind, viel Spaß.

The top of an apartment building seen over the colourful roof of the shops on the corner of Adelaide's West Terrace and Currie Street, beside the BP petrol station.

A snippet of the "C'est la vie" mural in Vieux Hull (Gatineau), Quebec, Canada.
This mural's French words translate into "That's life", and is the creation of local artists Phil Landry and Marin Mitrasinovic.
It actually covers two separate buildings sharing a per pay parking lot.
When you are in the middle of making the puzzle it is hard to see the whole picture. Sometimes we have to finish it first in order to see what the whole picture was about.
Often I only show a snippet of the sky while the whole sky land is moving like the ocean...
It is just that I like pieces of puzzles

A snippet of brutalist architecture. Definitely not to everyone’s taste - the picture or the architecture.
A snippet from the William Wordsworth
poem, Cloud
"When all at once, I saw a crowd, a host of golden daffodils, beside the lake beneath the trees, fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
The beauty of nature!
Purity, bliss, and solitude.
These are dwarf daffodils I photographed in my garden.
I looked up this poem and thought I should share it with everyone. It seemed very suitable for my little image.
William Wordsworth was a fantastic poet, a master words-smith for sure. He seemed someone who knew nature and how to convey it into the written word so beautifully.
These beautiful lines of poetry, although penned long, long ago still resound and could have been written only yesterday.
Another snippet scene/pic from my bigger project. I spent all last night and into the wee hours to perfect this, since I wanted one killer shot in the story. Props to RayRay for the idea of an ubber pic in story.
So who is this mysteriously lethal woman? Well I ain't telling, you'll have to wait to read the story, hehe. Have to build "some" suspense. I can tell you one thing, she doesn't normally use a scythe, if you notice she has a holster, so her main weapon of choice are guns.

Jasper usually has a lot to say at mealtimes and let us know when we're taking too long preparing his food.😤
A snippet of the lyrics of Toby Keith's song, "Don't let the Old Man in".
I was out on the balcony and took a glance at the outside wall thermometer. Well, Old Man Weather didn't flinch - he looked me straight in the eyes. My temperature started rising and it then hit me - I realized it's Macro time.
