HMS BLACKMORE was deployed at Singapore until nominated for return to UK to pay off into Reserve. The ship sailed from Trincomalee 8th October 1945. and on arrival at Plymouth he paid off Devonport on arrival and was laid up there in Reserve Fleet until 1952. After being placed on the Sales List she was transferred to Denmark on 18th July 1952. After refitting she joined the Danish Navy as a Frigate and was renamed ESBERN SNARE. This ship was in Danish naval service until 1966 when stricken from the Active List.
I found this snake caught in a spider's web, writhing and twisting and not able to escape.Attached to his tail was
what looked like a reddish spider wrapped in silk and debris. It wasn't moving, but whatever it was, it had a firm grip on his tail. It took a steady pull to get his tail loose, but he seemed unharmed. Perhaps the thrashing wrapped the spider in its own web, and the jaws of the spider could grip but not pierce the scales.
In any event, he's a happier snake now, free to roam the backyard.
This is a black and white version of something I posted a while back and I rather like this better so I thought I would post it. :-)
Done with the help of some tone mapping, Silver Effects Pro, and a little dodging and burning with Photoshop.
As always, thoughtful feedback, constructive criticisms, and suggestions are always appreciated.
