Some may think that this hideous headgear is just a fashion statement, but nothing could be further from the truth. These tools were crafted to focus the mystical power known as "swag". Although many sources of swag can be used (converse shoes, energy drinks, skinny jeans, forehead wrinkles, etc.) the snapback is without a doubt the most tasteless and powerful of these tools.

I forgot to bring a hat so I wore my sister's the whole trip (she brought two, and also has hair, so she didn't mind).

We spent the day at Animal Kingdom, and the first thing I did was get a delicious jalapeño cheese pretzel (they are only available at like, 2 places in all of Disney World, so I'd been looking forward to it). We saw the Festival of the Lion King, which is sort of a circus show (with people dressed up, not real animals) themed around the plot & songs of the movie, and it makes me cry with happiness every time.

There was also the safari & the two jungle walkthroughs, which are always fun but it was even more cool to experience them with Jeff and Christa, who hadn't been there before. Same deal with the big coaster there — always a blast, but hearing Jeff laughing with hysterical joy the whole time made it extra fun.

Since Animal Kingdom closes early (for the animals to go back to their larger habitat), we had an early dinner at Tusker House, which is an INCREDIBLE African buffet. I must have eaten an entire plate of just different salads & hummus, and another one of curries & bread. They also have characters walking around, and it's so sweet to watch how happy the kids are to meet Donald and Minnie and Goofy. Because we were back so early, some of us swam in the pool for a bit, and then we watched new Mickey Mouse cartoons on tv and they were so funny I literally cried laughing.
