I've been busy lately. Too busy to play or think straight..not that my thinking is normally straight to begin with but you get what I mean. And I haven't been a good flickr friend at all. Unfortunately that won't change for a couple of weeks yet.
But in about a week I'll be on vacation. Work and some other things will be behind me and I'll be able to relax for a change...and play :) To go along with that I've begun playing a bit and came up with my new favorite drink that I'll be enjoying lots of while on vacation.
I call this my Watermelon Surprise Smoothie. Now, I know some of you are thinking it's pink and not very manly and I have to admit that's true. But I love this for its simplicity. You take a watermelon and cut it into chunks, fill a blender with some of those chunks and puree them. Then dump in a bunch of ice in and puree it all together. The kids can have that version...for adults you add some tequila (the surprise part of the drink).
I'm not a big fan of sweet anything, especially beverages. No sodas for me, thanks. This drink has no added sweeteners or anything like that and it's ice cold for those hot Summer days. And it's watermelon, not too sweet..just right. The top is foam of watermelon goodness..if you like that sort of thing.
But if you do add the tequila watch out, this could be one dangerous refreshing beverage..pink or not. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeYsTmIzjkw

Berryessa's personal ship, the Smoothie. She does everything from command the fleet to 'entertain' guests in international waters. It contains a camouflage cloaking field, rendering it almost invisible. Luckily for her guests it is true camouflage and not transparent ;).

Manapad (Tamil: மணப்பாடு) is a coastal village in far south India, 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Tuticorin and 18 km (11 mi) south of Tiruchendur. St. Francis Xavier came to Manapad in 1542, when he began missionary activity on the Fishery coast. He lived in a grotto cavern on the seaward face of a cliff and held mass at a chapel of the Captain's Cross, built from a ship's mast after a storm in 1540. Holy Cross Church, built close to the sea in 1581, has a relic fragment believed to be from the True Cross of Jerusalem. From 1 to 14 September, every year, the cross is publicly displayed for thousands who attend the festival season.
