I couldn't resist jumping on the smoothie hat bandwagon. Picked up the blue hat yesterday and the strawberry (yes, it even has little dots as seeds ahahaha) and the orange one today.
Delicious smoothies nom nom. And fun hats for the girls.
Today's smoothie is mango, watermelon and banana with full cream milk. Yum!

Grand opening of Hawaii's first Tropical Smoothie Cafe at Hawaiki Tower (88
Piikoi Street, 808-349-9526). Smoothies, sandwiches, wraps and salads. WiFi
too! Co-owner Timothy "Teddy" Wells plays Ivan the Other on ABC's "LOST."
One key innovation? A soundproof blending chamber. I didn't even notice the
peace and quiet (versus other smoothie joints) until Teddy mentioned it.
A great way to start the morning!

So I've been drinking two smoothies a day since I've been home from Tennessee. Dang I missed the vita-mix! This smoothie was pretty simple:
1 mango
1 banana (frozen, this makes the smoothie nice and cold)
1 apple
1 very large handful of kale
A couple tablespoons of flaxseed
And Ice & water
I can't believe there was a time when I didn't like mangos! How silly I used to be.

So I make a smoothie for the kids in the morning to bring to school, go for my walk, and then come home to juice some veggies & add them to the remaining smoothie. I guess it's the best of both worlds in one glass and I always love the hue of colours. I call it it liquid tie dye. 265:365
It's Ethel at Smoothie King. We were out for a ride and we spotted one of the two Smoothie Kings in Oklahoma. We got Ethel's favorite - Strawberry Banana. We got the medium size and it only set me back $6.48 with tax. Now, what that means is that they aren't going to be selling a whole lot of smoothies in over half of the countries of the world. Why? Because most of the world can't afford $6.48 smoothies. Luckily, I can.

What I'll be drinking tonight for St. Patrick's Day: Barium Sulfate smoothies to prepare for my abdominal CT scan tomorrow morning at Washington Radiology Associates. Not the way I'd prefer spending the end of my week, but hopefully the CT scan will find the source of my abdominal pain, be it kidney stones, gallstones, appendix, diverticulitis, etc. I hope it's something easily fixable! I'm soooo tired of health problems and appointments, invasive procedures, and hefty bills.
DINNER: Kale, ginger, blueberries, bananas and a couple of strawberries and hazelnut milk - tastes nicer than it looks ;o)
A different, artsy shot where I tried to use the table to make some sort of lines and angles along with the main motive; a smoothie for kids :)
Love the red colour here, shot taken with the Vivitar 100-200mm f/4 @ around f/5.6.
