Ladies and Gentleman may I introduce the latest addition to our clan, Jasper! He's a 9 week old Border Collie pup with lots of ambition and just plain cuteness!! Jasper has already shown a keen interest in photography as he knows when to smile for the camera.
(I don't normally put up photos of my dogs, but couldn't resist this time...the birds will return soon.)
Congrats on Explore! May 30, 2020
"Not really, this rope has a big loop in it and it's almost as long as me!!" Jasper is shown doing at the moment what he does best, showing that rope toy some of his major canine teeth.
(This will be the last photo of Jasper for a bit as he has some growing up and chewing to do!!)
As Jasper's energy levels rise, tender moments such as this might be far and few between, except of course when he's sleeping. This pup is go, go, go then crashes for a nap then off again! Speaking of which, he has my shoe..gotta run!!
Meet Forest and Clover, both are rescue Chihuahuas that I have volunteered to give homes to. Forest (9 years) I have had for 2 months now and Clover (18 months) just 2 days. Both have settled in really well. We wish everyone a happy valentines weekend xx excuse the outfits but they are both used to it and didn't mind a bit!!
I decided to have her as my life partner although she was over budget... She will come to my house next week! Hope she will be happy living with me!! ;-)
Right now, I am pretty busy cleaning my house for her. :D

A Relative in Show Business?
We have been trying to figure out what breeds went into Cami's parentage. She looks a lot like an Australian Cattle Dog (a Queensland Red Heeler), and she has many of the traits of that breed. She has the speckles and spots, the speed, and she makes a lot of the signature sounds (the chuffing 'throat clearing', high-pitched calls and 'monkey sounds'). Her front in particular (below the neck) resembles some sort of hound, but she also shares some traits with the Jack Russell Terrier (known to some snooty owners as the Parson Russell): her speed, hyper-alert nature and facial markings. If Russell Terriers have natural, undocked tails those caudal appendages are usually slim, curved, pointed ones -- similar to Cami's.
Probably the best-known JRT is 'Eddie' from the American sitcom Frasier, but Eddie was a 'broken coat' dog -- Cami's coat is smooth nigh unto slick.. He also had darker markings, more toward brown than red. The resemblance that comes to mind is 'Olive', from the television Christmas special Olive, the Other Reindeer and at least two children's' books. Here I've posted Olive (inset) next to Cami; I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
My Thea Bear, jack russell terrier.
She's now 18mths old.
If you make funny noises she tilts her head, so adorable.
I took this with a Canon Rebel t2i. I went to the Oklahoma City Zoo and got to shoot pics of birds, a red panda, an ant eater, some fish, seals and sealions, a meerkat, and some flags hanging in a hallway before tornadoes started being spotted and had potential of heading our way. So, unfortunately, I had to leave before I really even got started. I thought the zoo was a great place to go to take pics of animals that I may never see otherwise. Yes, they are in captivity, but they still have their personalities coming through. For instance, the red panda kept pausing for pics as if he was like the lion in the movie Madagascar, and the meerkat stood watch while the others kept their heads buried in the holes they were digging. Some of the unfortunate things were some of them paced which was an acquired trait due to captivity and also due to the captivity, the backgrounds are man made.

Eddie, Flower, Lacy and Socks loved this challenge and had a great time this afternoon
And look at those little sharp teeth that Choco has, they are just like needles!! And he keeps wanting to sink them into my nose!!
Jimmy Dean was following me around the yard. I love the top down view, shows the big chest of his. He likes to keep one ear broke backwards.
