Had a cigarette for the first time in aaaages...and as a result, I got an insane nicotine-high (just from half a cigarette?), which led me to take this shot with my phone. Random, isn't it? Thought I'd best share. *grins*

Pet Milk came to Greeneville, TN in 1928. This smoke stack is all that's left of the plant.

All that remains of the once great Santa Fe shop complex is this giant smokestack with the railroads name spelled on the side of it. There is a steam whistle that goes off 3 times a day to signify the shift times.

The other remnants of the shop complex are still being pumped out of the ground and burned off by an incinerator in the middle of the new intermodal facility as they separate the oil from the groundwater.

Panamint City was a silver mining town that sprung up in what's modern Death Valley National Park in the 1870s. This smokestack remains from the town's millsite. It probably won't stand much longer.

This smokestack is all that remains of the 19th century sawmill outside of Brookville, Pennsylvania. It is across the street from the grist mill and the Humphrey Industries buildings.

Farewell SL 66: These are my last pics with her, exchanged this great camera for an even older pre-war 9 x 12 cm plate camera. Large format, here we go!

Expect some non-square pics 😉

I thought the cloud behind the vertical bumper looked like tailpipe emissions.
