And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain

Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;

So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,

"‘Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door—

Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;—

This it is and nothing more.”

San Francisco isn't burning, but it is suffocating at times. This whole week is just heartbreaking, so a little levity is required.

Not seen this much dry ice since The Sisters of Mercy in their prime.

enough is burning to hide a whole mountain

After a four-month hiatus, I finally got around to taking another picture. (incense burner with very still air)

Experimenting with smoke / lighting

Everyday, I’m out alone with my camera after my classes to find a new angle and perspective on life and it gives me peace. I’m not much of a portrait photographer but once in awhile I do run in to fun settings. And since I lack instant models, I’ll play around with self-timer mode.

Currently practicing shutter priority and just got the Adobe Lightroom 3 (beta 2) and it’s pretty nice. This was a fun photo to play with.
