I love it when Bruno's smile combines with side-tongue. All of this happiness was brought on by a romp in the yard and a pet on the head by Daniel. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that matter the most.

SMILE or SMILES is the topic for Thursday 29 December 2016 Group Our Daily Challenge

GROUP: SMILE ON SATURDAY

THEME: DOGMANIA

SUBJECT: A PARK VISITOR'S DOG

I don't have a dog but I have enjoyed other people's dogs by the lake. But this is an exception because each time I pointed the camera at her, she would seem to smile and showed me her teeth! I took this a few days ago and yesterday, I was so surprised to see that the beautiful hair has been trimmed! The owner told me that he's been having her trimmed each summer because of the California summer heat! She still looks beautiful!

A very happy boxer I meet in Crossley Park in Ripley Derbyshire.

I took a photo of my smiling dog standing in a tree celebrating St. Patrick's Day in his green hat. As I was editing the photo in Photoshop I noticed that I had also captured a tree leprechaun spirit behind him looking rather annoyed at the disturbance. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We were on vacation and even if we have a great sitter who understands his needs (which means no touch, so it's quite an organization), it is always hard for him emotionally. So when he is back home, he is in heaven :).

My friend's dog Ginger hanging on her front porch. She's a corgi mix and a real sweetie.

This sweet pup loved to smile when greeting you.. Mosco and several other dogs slept next to the outdoor barbecue at night.

We've had some very lovely days early this week, allowing us to enjoy our private terrace, which is crazy for November. But the cold is now back full force and the kiddos don't enjoy lounging outside so much :).

This is who he is when in complete trust :). A real clown.

On another note, here you can see why his tongue is always hanging out. He is not missing teeth, but his jaw is deformed and his teeny teeth (the canine on this side is as big as his incisors) are kind of wonky. This adds to his charm in my opinion :).

Kulka not only poses beautifully (which I have already mentioned earlier) - but also smiles beautifully. She is so happy because finally it was a cooler day, where it was below 30°C, and she had just come back from her groomer.

Our visitor of this past week wanted to see Benni posing by the whale statue. I pointed and said "up" and away she went. Keith was impressed and Benni looks to be laughing.

Pumpkin Pie playing peek-a-boo.

The Monkey, well he's being a

silly monkey and Mr Boney

watching my every move.

The tractor has been back in the

mud cobra field cross cutting.

Lots of mud and very wet

grass creating issues.

Most importantly the dogs had big fun ;-)

Last few days the tire on the sidecar has

had a slow leak. Yesterday it was pumped

up for this mornings big adventure. Problem

being this morning it was nearly sitting on it's

rim. Pumped it up again and we took off. Looks

like one more tire will need repair soon. Remember

just the other day the front tire went flat on me which

means in the next few days it too will be repaired. ;-0-

Upon returning home all the dogs

were fed a nutritious breakfast

and right now they are taking

a long nap. This is real good.

I'll take a nap then eat later.

We're shopping for pet-sitters, again... It's always quite epic since we have quite a crew and I have to make groups, then find the sitter that will best suit this group. Not easy to find people understanding that yes, he is a senior with all that entails (see lat week's confession ;P) and that some of his pack members are also a piece of work (blind, disabled, extra sensitive, traumatized, toothless, weird, and so on)...

But now that we've moved out of the big apple and that we have a car, I have much more flexibility and even if I have to drive an hour and a half to find the best fit, I will! We went for a meet-and-greet that went amazing and as his face says here, we were all quite happy with our choice!

And yes, he had the privilege of being in the front while some of his pals were jealous in the back :).

Charley was very charming and fun to photograph! A happy little bundle of fluff!

Posted for my friend Stephanie. This is her dog Charlie who passed away a few months ago. He was such a good dog! He will be missed.

I think Mama is 10 going on 11 this fall.

Now that is way old for a jungle dog !

Lucky she's living her golden years

right here at our place and gets

2 play with the monkey boy ;-)

Last night I left the peoples clinic

around 7:PM. No# 1 still has me

under house arrest for a few

more days and nights ;-(-

The dogs stare at me wondering

what the big problem is. Why we

aren't out playing in the field ?

They'll get over it when we do

make it to the mud cobra field.

Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week.

But I believe first no# 1 has plans for

her brother to take us to the temple.

Right now I'm just a head on a post.

Even my job as k9manservant has

temporarily been put on hold ;-0

I do have plenty of photos in the archives.

A True Friend, missed everyday ❤

.

I'm not sure when we left for the m/c field.

Might of been around 6:AM or there about.

And yes it was real wet and real muddy !

Had to be extra cautious so Mr Murphy

wouldn't pull any tricks on us today.

Lately Mr Little Larry The Monkey

has been the leader of the pack

cuz nobody can keep up with

him. He's a real zoomer ;-)-

When we returned to base camp

all three dogs were given a bath.

They were a real manure mess!

I'm heading back to bed for

an hour or three cuz I'm

really burned-out an

my body says so.

Catch y'all later ;-)

way to much fun in the M/C Field.

Around 6:AM we headed over to

the mud cobra field. It was really

wet and really muddy. The dogs

were having big fun as you can

see here. An hour later we took

off for home where breakfast is

waiting for them, then a nap ;-)-

Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

This is Mamas Mom, she was a really good dog.

Her mothering qualities were exceptional and she

passed those same qualities on to the Mama we all

know and read about today. Her background was an

abusive one. Beaten and dumped with her one puppy

in this unforgiving jungle. Luckily I was fortunate enough

to stumble onto Baby Mama here at the Monkey Temple

and the rest, as you all know, is history. This would be Mr

Rockys Grand Ma. She is missed by many ... Rest In Peace.

We went back for a short week to France and Switzerland (lots of driving to see everyone), but finally took some time to stroll in Paris. It was crowded but this little guy did great! He did spend most of time in his bag though :).

This is a special thank you from all the

temple dogs out here in the jungle.

Your comments and donations

is what keeps these dogs

alive and healthy.

Without your heartfelt assistance they

will all suffer an agonizing fate. These

rescued jungle dogs are completely

depended on you.

Rescued from a lifetime of suffering,

your support is now the only hope

they have.Please help !

By sponsoring these rescued jungle dogs,

you will be helping to care for not just

one dog, but all the dogs out here

at The Monkey Temple.

Alright with that being said here's some more news.

The Thai weather forecaster has said ---

Monday is the start of this years rainy season.

By August we will once again be on flood alert !

And ya all know what that means in the wet tropics.

Furthermore, ya all know what that means when zipping

down these dangerous Thai roads on a 125cc Honda scooter.

Not complaining one bit, just stating the actual facts on hand !

If possible another run out to The Monkey Temple

will take place in the early hours tomorrow morning.

Many hurdles are slowing down and impeding progress.

But, over the last 7years y'all know that seldom stops me ;-)

King Aiko turns 5 today

5 years ago the whole family sat together in the living room and I suddenly uttered

"The Dog is born"

We had been searching for The Dog and didn't quite find the exact dog we wanted, so we had kind of taken a break for the search for the ultimate dog

The words were spoken

Everybody looked at me

I had no clue why I said so

And we all kept on doing what we did and didn't think about the weird words that came out of my mouth

Some weeks later I found The Dog

I found the time was right to have a little check and

He was on internet

And he was available

We all fell totally in love with the breed Finnish Lapphund

When we were visiting him and his siblings I realized that these dogs were actually born on the day I said

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

No# 1's brother delivered dog supplies

to The Bingo Room two days ago.

Nuns told him all the dogs are

waiting for Mr Jon's return.

So far everything is OK out there.

The end of April no# 1 and I plan

on a run to the temple in-order

to get all the dogs inoculated.

That will be a long day with

a bunch of very happy dogs.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

It was about 11:35AM when I made it

out to The Monkey Temple. Health

issues slowed me down today.

Once I arrived at The Dog Palace

Molly and Crew were all well fed.

From there Mr Ed received

his big juicy orange carrots.

Next stop is over at the nuns

where everybody received

their monthly inoculations.

The new linoleum was laid.

Didn't even take my field bath.

Just took off back home/bed.

Thank you for your comments and donations.

Pumpkin in the jungle next to our place.

FYI,

The Pipsqueak an Boney Baloney are

laying next to my chair. Pumpkin is just

outside the door watching my every move.

The Zoomer and Mimi are doing something

with no# 1 in her garden. All the dogs have just

finished eating breakfast. There's many photos

in the archives to choose from. This is one 4 you.

I'm not going anywhere today.

No# 1 has me on a short leash.
