Der Turmhof mit seinen Gebäuden, dass Wahrzeichen des Städtchens Steckborn in der Schweiz am am südlichen Ufer des Untersees. Der Turmhof wurde 1128 erbaut und diente dem Abt des Klosters Reichenau als Wohnsitz. Der Untersee ist der kleinere der beiden Seen des Bodensees.
The Turmhof with its buildings, that landmark of the small town of Steckborn in Switzerland on the southern shore of Lake Untersee. The Turmhof was built in 1128 and served as the residence of the abbot of the Reichenau monastery. Untersee is the smaller of the two lakes of Lake Constance.

Eutin is a small town in northern Germany. at night there is a calm here that is completely unknown in large cities.
Sun sets over my small hometown. Which is not a pure idyll - there is also an ugly cement plant (on the right).

The shots have been taken from the castle hill. If you compare with the previous image, you will recognize the same fire-red tree.
One more image to conclude this small series of fall images of my hometown in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria. You already know the castle and the two church towers. Taken from a distance on a bridge over the river Naab, to display how the town is wrapped in greenery if you view it from the right angle.
Today begins a new short-series on the City of Virden, Illinois. This view looks west on E. Jackson from N. Dye St. at the north side of the Virden square. Nearly all of the commercial buildings in this block date to the late 19th and early 20th century.
While most of Virden is situated in Macoupin County, the northern most part of the city is in Sangamon County. The Macoupin County portion of Virden is part of the St. Louis, Missouri-Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Sangamon County portion is part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of Virden was 3,249 at the 2020 census.
