This is my own version of the mug rug for the Scrappy Mug Rug Swap. We'll see if my swap partner likes orange + modern, otherwise, I'm keepin' this baby for my own cookies and coffee. =)
From time to time, I also photograph smaller budget photography projects in the area. Yesterday, I photographed a doctor's practice in Kirchheim unter Teck near Stuttgart, Germany.
Additionally, I also tried out my new gimbal that stabilises my camera to create smooth and stable video footage, which you can see in this quickly filmed video tour through the doctor's practice.

I was looking through old copies of Cloth Paper Scissors for inspiration and came across the article by Debbi Crane in issue 9 called Making Art Everyday and it was just the boost I needed for small projects which can be completed every day no matter how busy we feel we are

Oh man, I woke up feeling stitching-adrift. Too many projects, none of which were screaming "work on me today!" I put in a few stitches on a Bee Skep (not pictured), then got encouraged to dig out the Thanksgiving garland star that I started ages ago. So I spent much of the afternoon working on my little racist Indian, then switched to the stocking I was stitching for Hegle, that I found in the pizza box with the star. That one I'm making up entirely on my own, and I adore how the faux knit looks in the background. I remembered it being painstaking, but now that I've got a bit more needlepoint mileage under my belt, it's gone a lot faster.
Today's viewing was wall-to-wall Olympics -- road cycling (with near-death crashes), team handball, fencing, stupid swimming, awesome gymnastics. Same old story of delight!

My old ironing board cover had seen better days. It was all flat and dirty and needed to be put out of it's misery.
So I made a new one :D This one is way prettier, yay chevrons! I'm redoing all my craft room in these fabrics.
have this vintage cotton owl upholstery trim. and a little scrap of japanese linen squirrel print. combined with french cotton picot edged grosgrain ribbon and a small piece of orange wool, bottom is rusty orange wool blend felt. stuffed with fiberfill and fabric scraps. about 2 - 2.75 inches across top and about 4.5 inches tall.
Putting together this small Ikea storage unit has probably been the easiest and least stressful aspect of our move.
There's been a ton of cleaning, moving boxes, moving them back, scrubbing, wiping, lifting, etc...you get the picture. It's all good, though. We'll get to enjoy the spoils of our hard work later :D
Fooling around making sacs to cover the plastic around the cord ends on the balcony.
Enough little bags. Time for a snack.
At this point, I think a thin stiffer hemp cord is the solution.
Has to wait 'til Payday.
Two videos just for this dumb knob on a towel bar? Well, yeah, Flickr only lets you post a 90 sec video, so I had to split the 3 min video in two.
I could have cut the bolt much quicker but I didn't want to distort the end of the threads and have it no longer twist into anything ... so I was trying to take it slow.
This little table is a marble top kitchen island I got at Lowes. It's perfect for working with clay because of the cold smooth surface. And it's easy to keep clean. That little wooden box holds the adhesives I use the most. The red tool caddy floats from my indoor workspace to the workbench in the garage.
