I think this helps to understand the layout of the main space.
It is actually a square and four different sections/functional areas are created by dividing the space in a cross.
Counterclockwise, starting from the right:
-> dining area/occasional seconf office
for me
-> longe / sofa area
-> little office corner ( the desk actually
doesn't belong in the square, as it's
placed in the nook, created from the
diagonical shape of the roof) with
bookcase/media area between the
small and the big Expedit units.
-> reading corner/area and stairs up to
the bedroom and open dressing
areas.
....the tiny kitchen in placed directly
behind the reading area and the
bathroom is close to the entrance
area,with the tool and craft material unit, in front of the half
semicircular smaller window.
views of the entrance can be found

This tiny house on wheels was located on a camp site in Winslow Memorial Park in South Freeport, Maine.
The small house movement is a return to houses of less than 1,000 sq ft (93 m2). Frequently the distinction is made between small (between 400 sq ft (37 m2) and 1,000 sq ft (93 m2)), and smaller tiny houses with some as small as 80 sq ft (7.4 m2). Sarah Susanka has been credited with starting the recent countermovement toward smaller houses when she published The Not So Big House (1997). Tiny houses on wheels were popularized by Jay Shafer who designed and lived in a 96 sq ft house and later went on to offer the first plans for tiny houses on wheels, initially founding Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. This is exactly how I remember this neighborhood by Long Island Sound from my teenage years. Being so close to the water, the sun had a particularly bright quality to it. Toward the evening, it mellowed to a yellowish-golden color. Everything seen here is now completely gone.
This image is a design by the redoubtable Mrs. Hazel Dell Brown, lead designer at Armstrong Cork Company. It's an intriguing combination of medium blue, chartreuse, and rust. The design was created to solve the WWII housing problem as the nation geared up for war. Solution? Create a one room apartment to gain more income than just a room for rent.

I just use some layered towels and colorful fabrics to soak up the water from the clean dishes. I change the cloth frequently.

I am still in the process of sorting through my many images from a recent trip to London and Ireland.
I found this little house along the road, adjacent to one of the many castles we stopped at. Like most of the sights in Ireland, the castle was closed for the season so I walked up to this gate and snapped a few shots as this house had caught my eye as we drove past. I really liked the red door and accents. The old rock work and unmaintained gate and yard sort of just screams Ireland or maybe just Europe?!
To make this shot more Irish there would have to be someone drinking heavily outside while rocking/styling their newest Adidas (or maybe just a no-name) track suit. In case you missed my explanation in an early photo of Ireland, evidence shows that the majority of the Irish population is making a huge effort to bring back track suits as every day casual dress/attire. It is much more than amusing... tracksuits in the mall, tracksuits in the office, tracksuits in the pub, tracksuits everywhere...

Margaret Sage bought 142 acres of land in 1908. This land was used for Forest Hills Gardens. The neighborhood was planned on the model of the garden communities of England.

It snowed today ... the last of the summer fruit marks the end of fall. The fire was darned toasty though.

As with most Portlanders, I love Ladd Addition. I've been researching a 1920s local architect, O. M. Akers, and believe this small house and its next door neighbor was originally designed by him for the builder, J. R. Blows. To see some of Akers plans, I've posted some at Antique Home Style.
