Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) This cormorant wrestled for quite a few minutes with this slippery eel before finally getting it in a position to swallow it!
I had to be very careful that my lens and camera don't get wet from the spray and that I didn't slip in the water.Shot in North Wales Snowdonia.
To be honest, during the very first days of my winter journey in Iceland, the weather was bad. Low clouds, strong winds and flurries of snow requiring you to clean your lens before each shot. And yet, these landscapes remain fascinating.
The scratches on the wall tell us it's a slippery street. The title is hidden in the road(typwriter):-)

White Knuckled driving conditions through the Thompson–Nicola Regional district
Sub-zero temperatures.
The day before making this precarious trek through the Central Interior of BC, Canada , the news reported vehicles sliding off the road in all directions at this precise location.
Descending the highway hill was nerve racking to say the least, however I was in capable hands.
The pick-up truck in this image decided to travel down the center of road, in search of better traction.
As beautiful as this mountain highway is, wintery conditions can serve to be treacherous.

I had so many toys as a kid, Hence being the only child ;-)
This is a slinky that was a favourite in stairs and on anything escalating downwards.
Hope you like my macro shot of one that I bought recently but that reminds me of the one I had as a child.
Happy MM to all of you!
The combination of fallen leaves and wet rail makes for extremely difficult conditions on UBHF's uphill climb out of Thurmont. The three lead engines are digging hard into the grade, with additional help in the middle of the consist. As the elevation gets higher, the fall colors show gradual improvement.
Frankfort Mineral Springs waterfall near Pittsburgh, Was here about 3 weeks ago and now the icicles are longer & heavier.
The rock formations are exceptional and ice is apparent in more places. The temperature was about 55F. and some ice was starting to fall from above. The actual waterfall is in the middle of the picture. If you visit it is really slippery coming up the creek.
Slipway at the northern coast of St.Pabu/Brittany

The trail was wet and slippery after a morning rain, but the sun and blue sky were out for an afternoon walk at one of my favorite walking spots.
The trail to the bottom of the Ampitheater of South Falls is steep and slippery. Good to have a fence at times.
Happy Fence Friday!
This is a photo I took last weekend during a walk in the woods. The place is located near the area where I found the mysterious door of which I posted a photo several days ago. The creek carries only little water at the moment but when the rain returns it will soon change into a cascading stream. The rocks were slippery, though, and climbing up there was quite difficult.
