The beginning of my sleeve tattoo, the butterflies have yet to be colored in, because there will be many more, It is still in the healing process when these shots were taken. But it is healing quite nicely. There's a lot more to add to it, some shading at the bottom of the tulips; to really define it as a sleeve. And of course coloring in the butterflies-right now there are 3.

Man on the left has shoulder straps of Infanterie-Regt. Graf Werder (4.Rheinisches) Nr.30 and the man on the right has shoulder straps of Infanterie-Regt. von Lützow (1.Rheinisches) Nr.25. That man on the right has chevrons on either sleeve, something I personally have never observed. A bit of a mystery, but most likely just a unique way of showing he is an NCO.
To whoever copied this sleeve, please feel free to use my art as inspiration but please DON'T just rip it off. A lot of hours went into designing it and the guy who I did it on wanted an original ONE-OFF. Thanks.
The sleeve is completed in the same way.
(You can also see the quilting lines here, one on each side along the straight grain.)
Yarn: Fiberphile Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fibers Merino Nylon Sock, 0,7 skeins, colourway Sublime

A traditional dance dating back to 3rd century A.D., and particulary popular at the Imperial Courts of the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 A.D.).
In the hands of the dancers, the long white sleeves assume a life of its own, curving through the air with amazing grace.

Happy Easter, Flickr friends. I just woke up, but I can already smell our Easter dinner cooking downstairs. Gotta love a husband who loves to cook.
So I figured out a way to do behind the glass pictures again. Not quite the same as last time - not using frosted glass - but I'm excited at the prospects. I've missed my behind the glass series. :)
