Is there anything more peaceful and serene than a baby sleeping ? Except maybe this one might eat you when it wakes up 😉
Another of the magnificent leopards we saw in the Sabi Sands Reserve , South Africa.
Fun fact: leopards tend to sleep about 10-12 hours a day, mainly during the day because they primarily nocturnal. Sounds a bit like me now I’m older 😂

I have this awful habit of waking up sleeping things when I'm hiking. First the marmots, now this poor chap. I moved on quickly so he could resume his slumber. I am just glad it wasn't a bear.

With Miracle our Dutch rescue kitty is a carved wooden cat statue that my DD thought would make a neat door holder/door jam.
And this is a two part “tranquil”. The first is obviously a sleeping cat and the second was the blissful zoned-out time I spent cloning out cat hairs on the carpet while I post processed. I find that cloning is a peaceful pursuit.

I pass this dog often whilst out riding my bicycle in the surrounding hills, (and yes, I am super fit), he is supposed to be guarding his flock of sheep.
However on this particular day, I found him asleep on the side of the road, so I stopped and checked to see if he was OK, (as he is one of the few dogs that ignores cyclists).
He just got up, shook himself and looked at me as if to say "What do you want? Let me sleep", then he laid down again and went back to sleep.
I went out to Alviso for a walk about and shoot a few years ago and they had the parking lot and some of the trails blocked off. One of them by this monster. Seeing it in near silhouette made me think of a sleeping giant, waiting for its people to come back and help it feed on whatever earth its moving.
Mr spock figures that sleeping on the eggs will give him a heads up on getting kitty treats from the Easter Bunny first
