Slap Virje is a Karstic waterfall and the flow of the water can fluctuate much. The source of the waterfall lies a little bit upstream at the spring of Glijun (Izvir Glijuna) on an altitude of 430 meter. Best time to visit Slap Virje is after heavy rainfall or late springtime when there is a lot of melted snow in springtime.
The visit to this waterfall worths to enjoy of the beauty emerald green pool.
Ce n'est pas le plus haute cascade de Slovénie, ni la plus puissante mais certainement la plus remarquable. Au fil des siècles cette cascade a creusée dans la roche une grotte fendu en son milieu. On peut si baigner mais cela est réservé au plus courageux, l'eau ne doit pas dépasser 10°
I find it very hard to take an interesting photo of a pectoral slap, but I like the light on the fin in this photo.

The Virje Waterfall of the Glijun Stream, a tributary of the Soča river at Bovec in Slovenia.
It's actually 12m high so quite the waterfall, but blink and you'd miss it as you travel down the Soča river.
Luckily for you I'm a sucker for waterfalls so we drove down some very narrow lanes and then hiked down to this spot, just for this shot.
It was beautiful, but not quite Dettifoss!
The source of Life - the most visited waterfall in Slovenia
The visible part of the Savica is fed by the wider karst area of Crno Jezero, lying 500m above the waterfall. The water flows through a hidden underground of passages and lakes in two separate streams.
There is a long climb of 550 steps to each the waterfall.
This year, there is a tourist bus which takes you all the way to Slap Pericnik, in the heart of the Vrata Valley.
I took the bus to the falls, and made the climb up to get close (I had my weatherproof Nikon D750 with me) and took some photos before walking back down to Mojstrana.
