É uma região formadora de estrelas que mistura uma nebulosa de reflexão e uma nebulosa de emissão, misturando o azul e o vermelho. A foto foi tirada a partir de um local bortle 1/2, o @campingecachoeiradoscristais sem a necessidade de uso de filtros.

It's great to do astrophotography away from the light pollution! Trifid Nebula (M20). I think this is the best capture of a nebula that I made so far. Mais uma captura da M27, a nebulosa do haltere. Ela é grande no céu e bem brilhante, podendo ser vista pela ocular do telescópio e até algumas buscadoras como um brilho bem difuso, uma fumaça circular no céu. Capturá-la em imagens não é difícil, sendo um dos meus primeiros alvos quando estava iniciando. Agora fiz nova captura e muito melhor que a anterior. A foto foi tirada a partir de um local bortle 8.

Another capture of the M27, the Dumbbell Nebula. It's big in the sky and quite bright. It can be seen in a telescope and even some finderscopes as a circle of grey gas. Capture it is not hard at all, and it was one of my first targets when I was starting at the hoby. Now I made a new one and way better. The picture was taken from a bortle 8 site.

Inspirado pelo @galactic.hunter , eu resolvi tentar o meu mais longo projeto, diretamente de onde moro (bortle 8), em uma galáxia relativamente pouco brilhante, a M90 (NGC 4569 de 9.5 a 10.2 Mag). É possível ver muitas galáxias no lado esquerdo da galáxia ao centro. Foi um projeto que durou quase dois meses, entre vários dias de mau tempo ou de lua, os quais não fotografei. Remover os gradientes de poluição luminosa é bem difícil e acaba trazendo ruído pra foto. Embora tenha dado bastante trabalho, fiquei bem feliz com o resultado e irei com certeza ter mais projetos semelhantes, porque galáxias são simplesmente fantásticas!

Inspired by @Galactic.hunter , I did give it a try on my biggest project so far, directly from my house (bortle 8 city), in a galaxy not very bright, the M90 (NGC 4569 in sth between 9.5 and 10.2 Mag). We can see many more galaxies on the left of the main galaxy in the picture. It was a project that took almost two months and many days of bad weather or moonlight, which I couldn't do any pictures. Remove the gradients that I get from the city light polution it's really hard and brings the noise way up. It was not easy, but I'm really glad with the result and I'm definitey doing more projects like this in the future, because galaxies are mind blowing!

O núcleo da Via Láctea começa a ficar visível novamente. Bilhões e bilhões de estrelas e partículas de poeira, dando seguimento ao ciclo da vida galáctica. Essa é a região do Cruzeiro do Sul e nebulosa Eta Carinae. É possível ver na imagem além desses, a nebulosa do saco de carvão, próxima ao cruzeiro do sul (tem esse nome devido sua densidade de poeira não permitir a passagem de luz das estrelas que estão atrás), nebulosa da galinha correndo (bem ao centro) e outras, além de vários aglomerados estelares. Tratei esta foto pelo menos 3 vezes antes de chegar em um resultado que gostasse. É uma região difícil por ser muito estrelada, sendo difícil destacar detalhes. Espero que gostem do resultado. This is the Crux and Eta Carinae nebula region. In the picture, we can also see the Coalsack Nebula (it has this name because of its gas and dust density, that keeps us from seeing the stars behind it), running chiken nebula (right in the center) and others, and also many star clusters. I processed this image at least three times before get in something that I like. It's a chalenging region because it has many bright stars, so it's difficult to highlight the details. Se você conhece ao menos um pouco do céu, conhece ou já ouviu falar da estrela Sirius. É a estrela mais brilhante do céu. E um fato interessante é que ela não é apenas uma estrela, são duas: Sirius A e Sirius B. Elas estão relativamente próximas à terra (8,6ly). A que vemos a olho nu é a Sirius A, mais quente e 1,7 vezes maior que nosso Sol. Sirius B é bem menor e leva aproximadamente 50 anos para completar uma volta ao redor de Sirius A. Estamos no período em que as estrelas estão mais afastadas, o que nos permite captar imagens de ambas, sem que a luz de Sirius A se misture com a luz de Sirius B. Logo farei imagens dela com um telescópio refrator, assim espero que a separação delas fique mais clara, sem os spikes (cruz).

If you know a little of the nightsky, you know or heard of Sirius star. It's the brighest star in the nightsky. An interesting fact is that it isn't a single star, but two: Sirius A and Sirius B. They are relatively next to the Earth (8,6ly). We only see Sirius A with the naked eye and it is hotter and 1,7 times bigger than our Sun. Sirius B is smaller and takes aproximately 50 years to complete its orbit around its companion star. We are in a specific period of time that the two stars are apart from each other, which alow us to capture images from both of them, without Sirius A light merge with the light from Sirius B. Soon I'll be doing some pictures with a refractor telescope and I hope that the separation between them become more appearent without the refraction spikes.

Obviamente foi pouco tempo de exposição, porém ainda consegui vários detalhes interessantes para uma galáxia como essa. Dessa vez com um balanço de cor, na minha opinião, mais bem feito, já que aglomerados globulares têm estrelas mais velhas e, portanto, mais vermelhas e frias. Esse é um objeto que eu queria fotografar há muito tempo: Abell 39. Sua forma e sua cor me impressionam! O problema é que sua magnitude aparente, que é bem baixa. Sua estrela central tem uma magnitude de apenas 15,7. Isso é muito tênue, mais de 2 mil vezes mais fraco que Plutão. Para terem uma ideia, Plutão tem uma magnitude de 8,4, já sendo invisível a olho nu. Esse objeto exige longa exposição e céu escuro para que se possa capturar algo e, na verdade, é bem simples: uma esfera praticamente perfeita, azul, com uma anã branca no centro. This is an objecto which I wanted to capture for some time: Abell 39. Its shape and color impresses me! The problem is its appearent magnitude, which is very low, only 15,7 on its central star. This is very faint for an object in the sky, more than 2 thousand times more faint than Pluto! Just to have an idea, Pluto has a magnitude of 8,4, which is not able to see with naked eye. This object requires a long exposure and a dark sky to capture it and, it's a quite simple object: an almost perfect blue sphere with a dwarf star in the center. A Grande Núvem de Magalhães (LMC). Privilégio de quem está no Hemisfério Sul, já que não é visível do Hemisfério Norte, é um dos objetos mais bonitos e famosos do céu noturno. Vista apenas de locais com pouca ou nenhuma poluição luminosa, fui a um camping de bortle 3/4, o @bregildo_camping , para conseguir fazer esse registro! A Grande Núvem de Magalhães é uma galáxia anã que orbita a Via Láctea e tem 14 mil anos luz de diâmetro. Ela é vista como uma grande mancha acinzentada no céu.

The Large Megallanic Cloud (LMC). Privilege of those who are in the Southern Hemisphere, since is not visible from the Northen Hemisphere, is one of the most famous and beautiful objects in the nightsky. Seen only from low light pollution sites, I went to a camping borlte 3/4, the bregildo camping, to take this picture! The LMC is a dwarf galaxy orbiting the Milky Way and it has a diameter of 14.000ly. It is seen as a big and soft grey object in the sky.

Fazia um tempo que não capturava esta nebulosa. A mais brilhante e famosa do céu: Órion e logo abaixo a nebulosa do homem correndo (M42 ou NGC1976 e NGC1977). Captura feita da cidade, bortle 8/9, utilizando filtro Optolong L-Pro. Foi aplicada técnica de HDR para trazer detalhes da nebulosa, porém como todas as exposições foram longas (120s), o núcleo ficou estourado. Eu particularmente gostei do resultado.

Has been some time since I captured this nebula. The most bright and famous in the sky: Orion and below it, the running man nebula (M42 or NGC1976 and NGC1977). I took the pictures from the city (bortle 8/9) using an Optolong L-Pro filter. I used the HDR to bring some details of the center of the nebula, but all my exposures were 120s long and this blowed up the core of the nebula. But I liked the result.

Eu sou fã de nebulosas planetárias. Coloridas e bem brilhantes. São alguns os objetos mais intrigantes do céu noturno. A única desvantagem é que são muito pequenas! Estrelas em seus últimos suspiros... Esta é a Eight Burst Nebula ou NGC 3132. Foto tirada de um local bortle 8, com filtro L-Pro, porém mesmo sem filtro ela é bastante visível em capturas.

I'm a fan of planetary nebulae. They're colorful and really bright. They're some of the most intriguing objects in the night sky. The only disavantage is that they are very small! Stars in their lasts breath... This is the Eight Burst Nebula or NGC 3132. This picture was taken in a bortle 8 site, with optolong L-Pro filter, although it could be captured even without the filter easily.

Minha primeira captura da Estação Espacial Internacional - EEI (International Space Station - ISS). A passagem foi hoje em Brasília, com magnitude estimada em -4.2! Gostei do resultado, pra uma primeira vez.

A EEI quando passa no pôr ou no nascer do sol em um certo ângulo, reflete a luz nos observadores terrestres, assim como outros satélites. Quando isso ocorre, vemos seu reflexo no céu como uma estrela em movimento. Com câmeras de alta velocidade e Telescópios com alta ampliação, podemos fazer calturas como essas diretamente de casa! Na imagem é possível distinguir os painéis solares e seus módulos.

Para a foto foi utilizado um Telescópio William Optics Zenithstar 66mm SD e uma câmera ASI290mc em foco primário. Captura com Sharpcap, melhores frames selecionados no PIPP, empilhamento no autostakkert e processamento no registax.

Captura da galáxia do Sombrero (M104 / NGC 4594). Feita de um local bortle 8 com filtro Optolong L-Pro. É uma galáxia bem brilhante e também um belo alvo para iniciantes, embora seja bem pequena no céu, exigindo uma grande distância focal para capturar detalhes.

Depois de alguns dias de capturas e alguns meses enrolando tratá-las, finalmente saiu meu Tripleto de Leão. São três galáxias visualmente próximas no céu: a M66, M65 e a NGC3628. Tirada de um local bortle 3, o @bregildo_camping .

Minha segunda captura da galáxia Centaurus A, NGC 5128. É uma galáxia bem brilhante, então é um bom alvo mesmo dentro da cidade. Foi a primeira galáxia que capturei em imagem no início do hobby. Acredito ter sido uma das minhas melhores capturas até o momento.

Omega Centauri, NGC 5139, é o objeto deste tipo mais brilhante no céu. Possui cerca de 10 milhões de estrelas nesse formato globular, que eu acho simplesmente magnífico! Essa imagem me fez perceber o quanto progredi no hobby em um ano e me deixou ansioso para mais capturas!

Omega Centauri, NGC 5139, it's the brightest object of its kind in the sky. It has about 10 million stars in this globular shape that I think is magnificent! This image made me realize how much I grew up in to the astrophotography hobby in a year, and it makes me anxious to do more captures!

Segunda captura da nebulosa da borboleta, ou Bug nebula (NGC 6302). A primeira foi feita há +/- 1 ano e tem menos detalhes. É engraçado que, por ter sido feita agora com uma câmera modificada, não aparece verde na nebulosa, como em uma câmera não modificada. Vocês podem ver a captura anterior rolando as fotos da minha galeria do Instagram. Feita de um local bortle 8 com filtro Optolong L-Pro.

My second capture of the Bug nebula (NGC 6302). The first one was made about a year ago and it has less detail. It's noticeable that, for being made with a modifyed DSLR, you don't see the green that appeared in the capture made with a stock DSLR. Finalmente uma captura bem sucedida da Pequena Núvem de Magalhães (NGC 292). É uma galáxia anã vizinha da via láctea. Facilmente visível do hemisfério sul em locais de pouca poluição luminosa. Grande no céu, é vista literalmente como uma pequena núvem, porém em 250mm ela praticamente não coube completamente na imagem. A captura foi feita a partir de um local bortle 1/2, o @campingecachoeiradoscristais sem filtros.

Finally a good capture of the Small Megallantic Cloud (NGC 292). It's a dwarf galaxy, neighbour of the Milky Way. Easily seen from the Southern Hemisphere in low light pollution sites. It's big in the sky, seen as, literally, a small cloud, but even though, 250mm of focal distance almost didn't fit it in the frame. The picture was taken from a bortle 1/2 site, the @campingecachoeiradoscristais , without filter.

NGC3572, também conhecida como pequena tarântula. Esta nebulosa de emissão fica localizada entre as grandes nebulosas Eta Carinae e a Nebulosa da Galinha correndo. Eu via seu realce em capturas de maior distância focal e sempre tive vontade de captura-la em foco e ver mais detalhes dela. Missão cumprida! Captura feita com meu pequeno refrator APO, o William Optics ZenithStar 66 SD em um local bortle 3, o @bregildo_camping , em dia de lua quase cheia, com filtro Optolong L-Enhance.

NGC3572, also known by little tarantula nebula. This emission nebula is located between the great nebulae Eta Carinae and the Running Chiken Nebula. I always saw its shape in smaller focal distance captures and I always had the curiosity to see its details. Mission accomplished! Captura da Nebulosa Eta Carinae, feita em dezembro de 2020 e janeiro de 2021. Levei um bom tempo para postar pois estava praticando o processamento no PixInsight. Acabei processando essa mesma foto duas ou três vezes. Essa foto é interessante para efeitos comparativos com a última foto que postei. Embora essa foto tenha um campo maior, esta é com uma câmera modificada para capturar mais h-alfa.

Eta Carinae nebula, made in december 2020 and january 2021. I took a long time to post it because I was practicing my Pixinsight workflow to post process. I end up processing two or three times. This picture is interesting to compare the last Eta Carinae that I posted. Beside this picture has a wider view, this picture was taken with a modded camera to capture more h-apha.

Meu primeiro registro dessa nebulosa fantástica que é a Tarântula (NGC 2070). É a maior e mais brilhante nebulosa da Grande Núvem de Magalhães. É uma nebulosa tão grande e tão luminosa, que se estivesse dentro da nossa galáxia, seria maior que a lua cheia no céu! Essa captura foi feita toda na cidade (bortle 8) e fiz vários frames usando os filtros Optolong L-Enhance e L-Pro.

My first capture of this great nebula, the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070). It's the biggest and brightest nebula of the Large Megallanic Cloud. It is so big and bright that if it was in our galaxy, it would be bigger than our full moon in the sky! This capture was made in the city (Bortle 8) and I made some frames using the Optolong L-Enhance filter and others using the L-Pro filter.

Nebulosas da Cabeça de Cavalo (IC434) e Nebulosa da Chama (NGC2024). Minha segunda captura dessa região, dessa vez em menor distância focal. A primeira nem está neste insta, pois não gostei muito. Apesar de ter quantidade considerável de ruído, desta segunda gostei da captura e tem bastante informação de h-alpha. Fiz fotos pra esta captura tanto na cidade (Bortle 8), com filtro L-Enhance, quanto em área Bortle 4, o @Bregildo_camping , com filtro L-Pro.

Despite the noise, I liked this capture because it have plenty of H-alpha emissions. I took pictures both in the city (Bortle 8), with the L-Enhance filter, and away from it (Bortle 4) at the @Bregildo_camping , with the L-Pro filter.

Galáxia da Antena. Este é um objeto que, no início da minha jornada, pensei: que galáxia feia, nunca vou fotografá-la. Eu era fascinado pelos formatos espirais. Conforme fui mergulhando nesse mundo e entendi o que de fato era esse objeto, passou a ser pra mim, um dos mais fantásticos. Não se trata de um objeto, mas dois: NGC4038 e NGC4039. São duas galáxias em colisão! É possível ver claramente os núcleos se fundindo e bilhões de estrelas seguindo as ondas gravitacionais... Além disso, com todo esse movimento, percebe-se também um aumento de formações estelares com grandes concentrações de Hidrogênio (h-alpha vermelho). É realmente um objeto lindo de se fotografar e entender! Tirada de um local bortle 3, o @bregildo_camping .

Antennae Galaxy. This is an object which in the beginning of my journey, I thought: what an ugly galaxy, I'll never capture it. I was facinated by the spyral galaxies. As I progressed in this world, I understood what in fact is this object and it became to me as one of the more fantastic ones. It isn't an object, in fact, they are two: NGC4038 e NGC4039. They're two galaxies in collision! It's possible to clearly see the galaxies core merging and billions of stars following the gravitacional waves... Besides, with all this moviment, we can also see an increase of star formation with the increase of the concentration of Hydrogen (red h-alpha). A grande galáxia de Andrômeda (M31). Foto feita em julho no @campingecachoeiradoscristais . Minha melhor foto desse belo objeto do céu noturno até então. Infelizmente acabou não captando quase nada do H-alpha da galáxia, provavelmente porquê a lente já era um pouco escura e fechei um pouco mais para diminuir distorção e vinhetagem. Ainda assim fiquei satisfeito com o resultado!

Unfortunately, it didn't captured almost none of the h-alpha emissions from the galaxy, probably because it was a open lens and, to reduce vigneting and distortions, I closed it a little more. Constelação do Cisne (Cygnus). É uma constelação do hemisfério norte, no finzinho da Via Láctea, apelidada de cruzeiro do norte. É uma região cheia de nebulosas de emissão, que emitem luz na cor vermelho/rosado. Tirada de um local bortle 1, o quilombo Kalunga em Cavalcante-GO.

Cygnus constelation. Is a constelation from the Northern Hemisphere, in the tail of the Milky Way, nicknamed Northern Cross. It's a region full of emission nebulae, that irradiates the reddish/pinkish color. The pictures were taken from a bortle 1 place, the quilombo Kalunga em Cavalcante-GO.

Vê o formato dessa nebulosa mais à direita? Ela leva esse nome mesmo: pata de gato (NGC6334). À esquerda está a nebulosa NGC6357 ou Lobster Nebula. Uma das nebulosas planetárias mais famosas, se não a mais famosa. Conhecida popularmente como "Olho de Deus", ela é a NGC7293 ou Nebulosa de Helix. Seu formato se assemelha a um olho e ela é relativamente grande no céu. Essa é minha segunda captura desse objeto, já que a primeira ficou estranha, provavelmente por conta do orvalho. Este não foi um dia fácil. O orvalho tomou conta do equipamento e embaçou tanto o primário como o secundário do meu telescópio refletor. Não esperava por isso, então tive que aquecer o secundário com um aquecedor antiorvalho, que acabou gerando algum reflexo mínimo, porém que repercutiu na imagem final como algumas distorções. O primário aqueci na mão (literalmente). Depois disso a montagem apresentou problemas. Ainda assim foi minha melhor foto dessa galáxia linda que é a M83, por isso resolvi postar. Tirada de um local bortle 3, o @bregildo_camping .

This definitely wasn't an easy day. The dew took all over my equipment and fog both the primary and secondary mirrors of my newtonian. I didn't saw it coming, so I had to warm up the secondary mirror with a dew heater strip and that give me some distortion on the image. The primary I literally warmed up with my hand. After that, the mount start to give me headache. Still, it was my best capture of this spetacular galaxy that is the M83, so I decided to post it. It was taken from a bortle 3 place, the @bregildo_camping .

Recomendo de verdade que vejam no link da bio a foto em tamanho completo, assim poderão distiguir as minúsculas galáxias em espiral que aparecem na foto, além de várias outras elípticas. Quer identificar uma galáxia elíptica? Se a estrela não tem uma borda bem definida, é uma galáxia, ou seja, bilhões de estrelas bilhões de anos-luz distantes de nós! Mais uma nebulosa planetária! Essa é a nebulosa Fantasma de Júpiter (NGC3242). Muito luminosa, foram apenas 16 fotos de 10 segundos! Impressionante como parece um olho, não é mesmo? A estrela central, expele as camadas externas até restar apenas uma anã branca que ilumina os gases ao redor. Assim formam-se os elementos: Carbono, Nitrogênio, Oxigênio e Hélio.

The central star expeled its outside layers until remains only the white dwarf that shines the gases. This is how it's formed the elements: Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxigen and helium.

Mais uma captura de uma Nebulosa planetária, essa em formato de S, a NGC 5189. Nebulosas planetárias nada mais são que os últimos suspiros de uma estrela que não morrerá em uma supernova. Ela expele suas camadas externas conforme a fusão nuclear perde força e seus elementos ficam mais e mais pesados. O formato que os jatos de matéria são expelidos por elas varia, mas normalmente são circulares. É uma nebulosa bem brilhante, considerando o pouco tempo de exposição e nível de detalhes que consegui. Sabe a nossa Via Láctea? Tendo um famoso formato em espiral? É assim que ela se parece quando vista lateralmente! As estrelas giram na órbita de um buraco negro super massivo central e tendem a ficar nesse formato de panqueca. Galáxias elípticas (em que não vemos um formato muito bem definido) normalmente são galáxias mais velhas e que são formadas pelo fruto da colisão de galáxias espirais. Este objeto é o NGC7814.
