A scene taken from the walk to Le Souef peak with the Castle rock formation on the far right. We had the kids with us on this evening so it was more a recon walk to look out for potential spots next visit (whenever that may be!) - hopefully when there's snow around!
Was browsing through nostalgia shit and I found some old pictures I never posted. Recreated one. That was a simpler time. Very few companies competing, brickarms didn't make star wars weapons, everyone used Little Arm Shop weapons, clone trooper voices in stop motions were chipmunks, sharpie was accepted, and Skype was the dominant way to communicate.
🙏 I'm glad I was able to expierence it all. If I had a time machine I would 100% do the same shit all over again.
For those of you that are new. I'm gonna tag some old heads that are no longer active. (Unless their lurking)
In April, I will have been on Flickr for 10 years. We going to wherever the cool kids party and soda is on me 😉

Created for Down Under Challenge No. 835, starting with Frank Bernard's challenge image, which can be seen in the first comment below. I created that hideous grin using mainly the warp filter in PSE 11. Someone once said I should use it as my buddy icon, but 'tain't gonna happen.

To get a Christmas Card capture today where we include both our daughters typically ... had to do this by Skype as the eldest one is there in Madrid getting her master degree.
Here was a fun shot after the Christmas Card portrait I took.
She is looking back and seeing our schnoodle there in my other daughter's lap ... needless to say she misses him ;)

Becca is a mum and an artist. She works with watercolour and ink. Becca has illustrated children’s books and is entering 3 pieces of art in a local competition/exhibition. Becca’s art is often woodland based, with animals and fantasy creatures.
Becca also writes. She is working on a story of a garden gnome. At one point a paper lantern is found with a bird trapped inside. The story gently educates. Sky lanterns can pose danger to animals.
Becca’s 3 year old son is a delight. Becca worries how interaction with more boisterous children may affect him. Her 15 year old daughter was home educated and is now studying music in the Midlands. They keep in touch via Skype.
I wondered if Becca was also musically talented. She told me that in her youth she was in a heavy metal band (something which did not meet with her mum’s approval). She sang and played guitar. More recently Becca listens to meditative music and no longer watches violent movies. She says it is not only what we eat that affects our well being.
Just before I introduced myself to Becca a young couple had joined hands and raised their voices, in a very brief song, wishing a blessed day to each of the people at the white spring. I certainly had a good meeting with Becca.
