Tandem Skydiving involves jumping from 13,000ft then 50 seconds of freefall travelling at 120mph before the instructor deploys the parachute and then 6 to 7 minutes of floating back to ground level.
Luckily for me I can't pass the medical, so I will be staying on terra firma 👍

This shot is proof positive that you don't need an airplane to go skydiving, just a high flying surf board. The surfer's name is Ryan and he is not only an incredible surfer, but a talented surf board shaper.
Blythe and I went skydiving with a couple of people down in the Gulf Shores area. It was the coolest thing ever. We jumped out of the plane at 11,000 ft. I was pumped. Blythe was scared. It was a great day.

Felix Baumgartner broke the record on 14 October, 2012. He jumped from a height of 128,100 feet or 39 km for the highest skydive – more than four miles higher than Kittinger’s jump in 1960, which was from 102,800 feet or 19.5 miles. He achieved Mach 1.24 and thus also broke the sound barrier. IMG_0594
