Foggy sunrise at the Golden Gate Bridge - Marin Headlands, Marin County, California
This past Friday night, just as I was going to bed, I decided that I would get up early for a sunrise. With the warmer weather that came in, I was hoping to catch some unique foggy conditions..... It just didn't happen.
The fog never showed, but there was a nice haze over the bay. This haze made for some nice, smooth colors, but instead of unpacking all of my gear, I decided to just sit and watch the day begin.
I started my way up the road to Hawk Hill, and was greeted by large orange signs saying that the road was closed to cars, bikes, hiking, and I guess any other human activity. I guess its been a while since I've been up that far, because the road has been closed since April 1st... Where does time go? So as I made my way back down the hill to find a spot to sit and watch the fresh, warm weekend start, I remembered that I had a few images on my hard drive that were processed, and ready for upload, print, or whatever else I decided to do with them.
So... Since the road to Hawk Hill will be closed for a while, I decided it would be nice to revisit this January morning... I just won't get sick of this view.

Odd how things work out... I was going through my Lightroom files from 2010, and I came across this image of the Golden Gate. This image has always been one of my favorite captures of the fog covering the Golden Gate, so I decided to make it my desktop... Well, seeing as how I process most of my images in the realm of black and white, my export settings sent this directly to Silver Efex Pro. The jpeg came up in Silver Efex, and I knew right away that I had to take the processing a step further. I made a few minor adjustments, and ended up with this. I know there will be some that like the color, and some that like the B&W... For me, this image shows us how color can add to a image, as well as distract from the main elements.

This is a view from Genting Highland , Malayshia . One of the most Beautiful Tourism point in malayshia. Every 1 hours later , "go genting go" bus Start to go there from "KL Central". Ticket price :- 10-11 RM .... And after bus you need to go there by Skycable . Ticket 6.20 RM.....

Okay~simple pleasures I know....My daughter & I had pedi mani's yesterday & then came home & sat with our feet up for a short time while tuning to watch the O.C. (totally guilty pleasure!!) If there is a show which you might enjoy watching & can't see it anymore; chances somewhere in the world it is in reruns!
*Funny is watching 30 year old episodes of "Little House on the Prairie" with Laura Ingalls speaking Spanish.

Photo Contest Mechanics
- The photography contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers who will register during the prescribed registration period.
- Official Entry forms are available at the RCTV office in Ginza Compound Banilad from Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm.
- The registration fee is TWO HUNDRED (P200) per registrant. This covers one entry per category. An additional thirty pesos (P30) will be charged for every additional photo.
Photo Contest Categories:
* "Around Town" – Everything and anything about Cebu. From events (parties/concerts/sports/races) to buildings, places, bars, popular spots, etc.
* "Real Life" – Still life. Items and products that Cebu is known for.
* "Real People" – True blue Cebuano's at work or at play. Capturing Cebuano people going about their daily business in their natural environment. Cebuano people who make a difference in their daily lives.
* "Food Trip!" – Real Authentic Cebuano food, or local Cebuano eateries.
* "Make My Trip" – Images of travel destinations (from popular to unexplored) within Cebu/Province.
* "Real Finds (Scenic Cebu)" – Captivating views of Cebu's scenic beauty.
* "Ciudad sa Sugbu" – Images of Old Cebu still present in 2010. Preserved structures/roads/houses/stores which have lasted through the years and still exist.
- All official entries must include a caption, location and a brief description of the photo.
- Deadline for entries will be on September 17, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the RCTV office. Winning entries of previous photo contests (local or abroad) submitted shall, upon written complaint/discovery and verification, be automatically disqualified.
- Final entries shall be submitted as un-mounted 5"x7" Photo Print without borders, with the category and photographer ID number indicated at the back of the photo. The corresponding RAW file and JPEG file (at least 4MB and higher) of the images in CD format with the name of the photographer on the CD and envelope are to be submitted.
- Identifying marks, signs and address to insinuate information of ownership is strictly prohibited on the photo entry.
- Judging of the Photo contest will be on September 25, 2010.
- Decision of the designated Board of Judges shall be final and un-appealable.
- Awarding of Prizes to Winners will be on October 1, 2010.
- Photos must be taken during the actual competition dates (August 15-September 17, 2010) and must be taken in Cebu.
- Post production like exposure control (dodge and burn); Color saturation (control); creative cropping, conversion to black and white color toning (sepia, blue, selenium, etc.) as long as its done across the frame and not only in selected areas is acceptable. Composite pictures will be disqualified.
By joining this contest, winners/finalists agree that the royalty of the photographer shall not apply every time RCTV will use the photos and grants RCTV royalty-free, world-wide, exclusive license to display and reproduce the photo/s for promotional purposes. Ownership and rights to the winning entries shall belong to RCTV. The photographer may not use the photographs or variation of that same composition for any other purpose except for his personal portfolio. Photographers will be given photo credits every time applicable.
Winners will be featured and published on RCTV Channel 36 (Skycable).
