skotjay: @mimiwings Thanks. I've been wanting to try this combo for a bit now. I know what you mean about this being a place from childhood. Although I wasn't brought up on a farm like this, I was brought up on the water.
mimiwings: I love being near the water. Wish I'd grown up on the water. I grew up in the city with my Grandma. But I would visit my Mom sometimes, and she lived out in the country in Gainesville, TX. That's what this shot reminds me of.

skotjay: @uberduberville that's outside. The flipside to it always being hot outside is everyone keeps it freezing inside. Public spaces, too. If you go to the movies, you better carry a hoodie inside (extra awkward on a 90° day).

skotjay: @uberduberville In the specific area that this pic was taken, not really. There will be a minute or two where stuff will bloom, then it will get so hot that it will die pretty quickly. This color combo does mute the colors even further, though. I really like it.
