friday night at the river and just the moments before she looses her favorite bracelet along with a rock she throws into water... oh did she cry :)
Nothing fancy... Just a piece of my life.
I uploaded this is because, I absolutely love my dog and I thought this turned out adorable :)
Seeing how many skips he can get across Mazinaw Lake.
Mazinaw Lake is a lake in the Addington Highlands north of Kaladar in Eastern Ontario. The lake is situated on the upper Mississippi River. It has a perimeter of 49 km and averages 41 m in depth with a maximum depth of 145 m, making it the seventh-deepest lake in Ontario, including the Great Lakes.
Mendenhall lake, west bank. Glacial silt acts like silver behind glass and makes a still lake turn into a mirror of the fantastic landscape around it.
This shot was taken behind the Athabaska Falls in Jasper National Park. We were watching the rafters go by and this kid started skipping stones in the river. Such a beautiful day to see a sight like this.
I love it when my road trip partner lets me pull off the side of the road at a whim...this was one of those stops that was well rewarded.
When I took this shot, I didn't have a tripod with me so I had to set the delay, place the camera on the sand, take the picture then run out in front of the camera and try to throw at the right time. The sun was only out for a couple of minutes so I had to hurry. I think this was my 5th try. If you look just to the left of the sun, you can see the stone flying through the air.
Taken on Christmas day 2009.
This was as beautiful in real life as I think it is in this photo. I often like to go to this spot and take photos of my children. The light is so beautiful that time of day and the reflection of the water on their skin... ooooohhhh, it's just beautiful! Actually, my little girl was standing behind her brother in this orginal photo, but she just didn't really fit well in this photo, so I erased her and her shadow... I almost forgot that she was actually in the picture. I LOVE photoshop!
