The first annual 4-H Science Day with the Lugnuts was held July 15 at Cooley Law School Stadium (downtown Lansing).

 

Featured activities included the physics behind pitching sliders and curveballs from one of the Lugnuts pitchers, a turfgrass demonstration, a tour of the kitchen to learn about event food safety and preparation and a chance to throw balls in the outfield.

The process of learning and skill enhancement has always been an area of concern for the Learning and Development department.

MANASSAS, Va. (Sept. 17, 2025) Charles J. Colgan High School Sharks girls flag football team defeated Battlefield High School Bobcats 24-6 Wednesday in the second game of a doubleheader, following an earlier 32-0 win over Osbourn Park High School. Colgan built an early lead and maintained control throughout the match. The Sharks are now 3-0 on the season following a victory over Patriot High School on Monday. This season marks the inaugural year for girls flag football in Prince William County, with 12 of 13 high schools fielding teams.
