Today I put the Ecoline liquid watercolor paints into small dropper bottles thinking I could easily carry the bottles in my pocket when I sketch on location. I did an ink sketch using waterproof ink and I squeezed drops of color onto a brush and painted in a little color over the ink. This paint is so concentrated that a drop or two goes a long way. I don’t have a gray liquid watercolor so I painted the street and buildings with a gray ink.

This method would work on location to add color to an ink sketch. I’m not sure, however, that it has any advantages over carrying a small set of pan watercolors. It’s watercolor and you still have to wait for it to dry. Also mixing the yellow and blue to make green was kind of a pain. I would have to pre-mix colors to carry in separate bottles.

So I think the Noodler's inks are going back to Amazon. They were sold as waterproof, but are not. I'm going to try Roher and Klinger sketchink. Any comments on my choice to send them back? Please comment.

The orangy Kiowa pecan and Lexington grey colors are the inks that spread.

200717: Unfortunately I couldn't draw the shoulder view motif in time, but I saw the live stream from @gris030.de and realized that there participated really only good people. When I told that to Robert, he said: "Well, then it was good that you didn't show anything."

In the circles are the colors of the waterproof fountain pen inks that I have. My favourite is Super5 - I like the grey, and the ink doesn't. In the live stream, granulating special colors from @schmincke_official were shown, but nasty: Sold out! 😫 I remembered the colors I bought on a shopping tour with @jutta.richter in Munich and used the Hematite genuine from @danielsmithartistsmaterials for the background on the right page.

200717: Ich konnte das Schulterblick-Motiv leider nicht in Time mitzeichnen, habe den Schulterblick aber gesehen und stellte fest, dass wirklich nur gute Leute dabei waren! Als ich das Robert erzählte, sagte er sehr trocken: "Na, dann war es ja gut, dass Du nichts gezeigt hast."

In den Kreisen sind Die Farben der wasserfesten Füllertinten, die ich habe. Mein Favorit ist Super5 - ich mag das grau, und die Tinte blutet von den gezeigten am wenigsten aus. Im Schulterblick wurden granulierende Sonderfarbtöne von @schmincke_official gezeigt, aber fies: Ausverkauft! 😫 Ich erinnerte mich an die Farben, die ich mal auf einer Shoppingtour mit @jutta.richter in München gekauft habe und verwendete für den Hintergrund auf der rechten Seite das Hematite genuine von @danielsmithartistsmaterials
