I think I will end up going with something like this for the Sketch-A-Day book cover. It seems to make more sense to use a sketch rather than a pic. Working on colors and details now!

I wanted them to look super wet from being in the sea swimming together. I used copic markers (E87, E84 and E81 for the bodies, R20 for the cheeks and hearts and a uniposca white pen for the white reflections). Hope you like it!
