A free public skatepark located in downtown Macon, Georgia.

The first phase of the skate park opened in April 2017 and instantly became a hit with the skating community. The first competition there drew hundreds of skaters from around the country, and it is used on a daily basis by amateurs and professionals, alike.

In 2019 Phase II was designed and built by California Skateparks, Inc., and they have worked with the local skating community to make sure it is created with their use in mind. It includes a competition size bowl.

On my way home along the seafront I passed the skatepark where there were a number of youth. Mindful of taking pictures of minors, I captured this silhouette as one of them came down the ramp

If done properly graffiti can improve some places and this skatepark in Peterborough is an example of that.

This is our nearest reasonable decent skatepark with a couple of good drop ins and a really decent bowl and not too many scooters!

The undercroft of the Southbank Centre has pretty much been the beating heart of London skateboarding for around 40+ years now. With a love hate relationship between the building's owners and skateboarders (Brilliantly documented in the documentary "Rollin Through The Decades" by Winstan Whitter). The area set aside for skateboarders comprises of a variety of ledges, banks and a set of stairs. There is also a railing to stop tourists from wandering a bit too close and getting in the way too. We stayed this weekend with friends in Clapham and visited the Southbank yesterday so that Maisie could skate followed by a meal at a Tapas bar in Covent Garden.

If you're a skateboarder in the UK then this is the spiritual home of skateboarding and even though Maisie isn't really a "street" boarder she loved the atmosphere and the crowds of people behind the barriers watching and photographing the skaters.
