Tufted Titmouse.
Sparrow-sized at 6 inches. Gray above and whitish below with rust colored sides and a gray crest. The "Black-crested Titmouse" is a species found in southwestern Oklahoma and Texas and is similar but has a black crest.
Their habitat includes swampy or moist woodlands, and shade trees in villages and city parks.
They range from eastern Nebraska east to Maine and south to Texas in the west and central Florida in the east.

In spite of all that has happened in my life I live on
not because of me but because of Him that lives in
me... He gave me life that brought me into this
world and He gave me life when I fought my four
cancer battles and He gave me strength to live when
my losses were more than I thought I could bear!!!
He is the reason for the season and the reason I live...
I will never forget that & will shine my light for Him always!!

The Red-winged Blackbirds at Font Hill are quite the aggressive toward the Great Blue Herons. I know the Herons will eat their chicks. It's still amazing to watch them attack such a larger bird.
The MM theme is odd and the micro-mini duckies are back!! After a MM posting last week that wasn’t at all my usual, I thought the blue duckies should make an appearance.

One of my attempts at the "Macro Monday" theme "Zed".
Two different grains of salt, the big one being sea salt, the other one alpine table salt! The big one is about 3 mm in size and though it is a giant compared to the small one... I really liked how it puts things into perspective! Everything is relative after all!

The starling is a medium-sized songbird recognised for its glossy, iridescent plumage that shifts between green and purple tones in good light. In winter, its feathers show pale speckles across the body. Starlings are highly social, often gathering in noisy flocks and forming large murmurations at dusk. They are commonly found in farmland, parks, gardens, and urban areas, feeding on insects, worms, fruit, and seeds. Their calls are varied and include whistles, clicks, and mimicry of other bird species.
The proboscis of the Hummingbird Hawk-moth, used to reach the nectar of the flowers, is as long as its body - up to 3 cms.

The Loten's sunbird, long-billed sunbird or maroon-breasted sunbird, (Cinnyris lotenius) is a sunbird endemic to peninsular India and Sri Lanka. Its long bill distinguishes it from the similar purple sunbird that is found in the same areas and also tends to hover at flowers. Like other sunbirds, it feeds on small insects and builds characteristic hanging nests.
The species is named after a colonial Dutch governor of Ceylon, Joan Gideon Loten.

Long ago I had this plant for some years. The flowers were only an 1" in diameter. A lovely plant that bloomed around the time of wild Asters. It did not come with a name tag, but for me it was like a Micro sized Aster.

While out for a drive yesterday I found this Male and Female Osprey tucked down in the low ground seeking a break from a windy day. It is a crappy distant shot, I had problems trying to keep the camera steady as it was windy, but I figured I should take a shot anyways because with them both in the same tree I could clearly see the size difference between the male and the female. Female is above, also the females have speckled brown necklace (but I have read so do some of the males) In this case size tells who is who!
Front of a truck that was carrying a transportable building, which was over the regular size load for roads. Strangely, the OVER SIZE sign was cut into two separated in the middle for the truck registration plate.
The truck at the back was bearing a crane that lifted the transportable building into place.
