Located in the North-east of Spain, in Catalonia, and not far from Barcelona, lies this popular seaside town.
Unlike many other Spanish holiday resorts it's relatively unspoilt and building development is limited.
It attracts a cosmopolitan crowd from all over Europe and also the USA. It has been described as the San Tropez of Spain.
My photo was taken in the morning in April, before this beach became busy and whilst the light was soft. There are several beaches close to or beside the town.

He was staying at the same hotel as me at the time re: Hotel Veracruz.
The main Gay Beach is named La Playa de La Bossa Rodona.
Coming from nearby Barcelona, you can't miss this sculpture in the middle of a roundabout on the outskirts of the fascinating Catalonian town of Sitges.
I've been coming here for many years, but this is the first time I've been able to really nail this particular beast.

Sitges is a very popular holiday resort in north-east Spain.
It attracts visitors from all over Europe and beyond. The "high" season extends from early July into October but attracts visitors for most of the year. I am lucky to live not far away.
One of the particular attractions to the town is that it has not been over-developed, unlike many other Spanish seaside resorts.
My picture was taken just before sunset.

Every year the LGBT communities in several countries have a "Pride Parade". It is to celebrate their individuality and community spirit. The parades attract thousands of spectators.
This was one of a series of pictures that I took at the parade in Sitges, Spain in the summer of 2023.
Many participants wore costumes, some wore very little.
Sitges is a very popular holiday resort, not far from Barcelona and has managed to retain a lot of it's older charm unlike many Spanish resorts that have become over-developed. Sitges attracts a wide variety of visitors from all over Europe and beyond.
