NEW YORK – A New York Army National Guard from Company C, 1st Battalion, 105th Infantry assists with local security operations at ground zero here following the 9/11 terror attacks on September 14, 2001. Following the attack, New York Governor George Pataki mobilized the entire New York National Guard for state active duty, with many Guardsmen and women responding to their armories or ground zero as they learned of the terror attack. In the city alone, approximately 1,500 Citizen-Soldiers would be on duty by the end of the night of September 11, 2001 with another 1,500 preparing to move the next day. Joining the New York National Guard’s 2nd Civil Support Team were elements of the 42nd Infantry Division, 53rd Troop Command and 27th Infantry Brigade. During the celebrations as reference to the colours of the House of Orange-Nassau, people dress in the colour orange, which is sometimes called "orange craze"

The Meriva B debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March, and went into production in June 2010. The Meriva is the first (and only) car in the MPV class to have rear-hinged rear doors, which Opel call 'FlexDoors'.
From launch, the Meriva was available with 5 engines (3 petrol, 2 diesel). The 1.7 diesel is only available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the 1.4 turbo(140PS) and 1.7(130 hp) are only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The rest are only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Since September 2010, 2 more engines have been available, both diesel - the ECOFLEX 1.3 and the 1.7(130 hp).

Der Opel Meriva B ist ein vom deutschen Automobilhersteller Opel in Saragossa (Spanien) gebauter Kompaktvan auf Basis der Gamma-Plattform von GM. In Großbritannien wird er als Vauxhall Meriva verkauft. Die Markteinführung war am 12. Juni 2010.
Zur Auswahl stehen sieben Motoren; davon drei Otto- und vier Dieselmotoren. Die Benziner haben allesamt einen Hubraum von 1,4 Liter. Der schwächste Benziner leistet 74 kW (100 PS). Die beiden stärkeren Motoren werden von einem Turbolader unterstützt und bringen es dadurch auf eine Leistung von 88 kW (120 PS) beziehungsweise 103 kW (140 PS). Der schwächste Dieselmotor leistet aus 1,3 Litern Hubraum 70 kW (95 PS), die drei übrigen Dieseltriebwerke bringen es aus 1,7 Litern Hubraum auf 74, 81 und 96 kW (100, 110 und 130 PS).

Flint with limestone and brick dressings. Nave roof thatched, chancel slated; lead roofs to north and south porches. West tower, nave, chancel, north and south porches. Round west tower with C13 octagonal bell stage with tall single lancet in each face. C15 embattled parapet with flushwork panels and corner pinnacles in the form of figures on octagonal bases. Perpendicular 3-light west window. Polygonal stair turret at south-west junction with nave, rendered over. C15 two-storey south porch; two-light upper window in gable with square label mould. Square headed 2-light east and west windows. Stair toparvise in south-east angle, supported on a shallow brick arch. Nave windows generally of early C14 with cusped 'Y' tracery, some restored. Earlier two-light window without cusping on west side of porch. C16 rood stair turret at south east corner of nave with flint with brick quoins, and elongated quatrefoil openings. Chancel windows 3-light Decorated divided by staged buttresses. Low side window on south of chancel unglazed and fitted with wooden shutter. 3-light Decorated east window, restored. Angle buttresses to east gable. 2-light window with square head and label mould at north-east of nave. C15 north porch of knapped and galleted flint with polygonal stair turret at north east angle. Gable has angle buttresses with flushwork in base courses. Doorway with carved spandrels : kneeling figures with rosaries, possibly the donors. Above the doorway a triple opening with central stooled niche flanked by two lower openings with cusped ogee heads, all under square label moulds. 2-light 'Y' tracery window to west of porch. C19 flue of stone-dressed flint on west side, with octagonal stone chimney cap. Roofs C19; ribbed barrel vault with boarded ceiling over nave, scissor-braced rafter roof over chancel. Rood stair turret at south east corner of nave contains reconstructed remains of Romanesque doorway found in nave walls in 1927. C15 screen with 2-light divisions with ogee heads in two tiers. Painted panels in base. Very fine C15 octagonal font on two steps, the upper one decorated with quatrefoils and an inscription giving the date 1410. Stem carved with four lions and four wild men. The panels of the bowl carved with the Trinity, four angels, a Pieta and angels with the Instruments of the Passion and the Evangelistic symbols. Remains of original colouring. C19 stone tower screen with central ogee-headed doorway. North wall of chancel has C14 inscription referring to the Black Death of 1349, and a brass to Thomas Stones (+1627) Monument to Jerimiah Berry, +1767, on south wall of chancel by W. Lane of Norwich. Triple dropped-cill sedilia with ogee arches. Good piscina with shelf and crocketted head.

The villa is located in a residential area north of the town of Bernareggio, in the province of Milan, in a typical suburban setting with single family houses. It was designed as the northern header for a series of row houses, also designed by Botta, located on Via Cristoforo Colombo, and the villa rises to height of three stories. On the ground floor, in addition to the entrance, the entire space is completely open onto the garden and it features an indoor swimming pool and connected utilities. The large living room, the kitchen and the master bedroom are on the first floor, and the library, two other bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor. The east facade of the house, set parallel to the street, has a massive appearance with double walls faced with terracotta bricks, designed to keep out noise. This facade features external stairs connecting the garden with the library on the second floor. The convex west facade, which faces the park-garden, curves to form an arc that ends at the northern tip. It is a particularly complex facade, with recessed areas in relation to the eaves, thus creating a broad portico on three floors and deep loggias on the second storey. Two massive binate columns mark the south-west coner of the entrance, alluding to the archtiecture typical of Lombard farmhouses, and they create an indoor-outdoor transition area between the rooms in the villa and park. The use of terracotta brickwork for the entire exterior masonry lends a sense of unity to the architectural form, which is embellished with windows and openings in different shapes: arches, arrows and rectangles. Single speed conversion. The frame (folding) is bare steel. I'm not very fund of paint - looks great the first day, but does not age well. Still, could not get myslef to stripping off the original "Ulimited Marlboro" decal. "I wanna ride my bicycle, I wanna ride my bike...."
