Play quilt for a work colleague's second baby. Her maternity leave crept up on me rather quickly, and like its twin, Cabins in Queensland, I whipped it up using more of the blocks made from the EB Quilters' bright strips swap. I didn't like the other layout options, so the only differences are the reversed warm/cool layout, striped instead of black binding, and an allover stipple instead of quilting in-the-ditch. I still have 8 blocks left. May 2009.
The singer sings well and makes a lot of atmosphere at the Oktoberfest. She's also pretty and cute although personally I'm a bit disappointed that she isn't wearing a Dirndl dress like I am; she would look super gorgeous in it.
These beautiful creatures have been singing on this earth for 2 million years. I am absolutely and utterly captivated by them.
Magical.
.. And they did too..:-)

I got to photograph a wedding down at the beach a bit back, and it was really quite an experience to go out the day before and just have a day on the beach completely alone. I saw these sand castles built and left and knew I wanted to create an image.

Sing, my sister... sing!
Let your voice be heard
What won't kill you will make you strong
Sing, my sister... sing!
You don't need
To disrespect yourself again
Don't hide your light behind your fears
My women can be strong
You've known it all along
What you need
Is what you haven't found
So...
Sing, my sister... sing!
Let your voice be heard
What won't kill you will make you strong
Sing, my sister... sing!
Women are the mothers of the world, my friend
I tell you womankind is strong
Take your beautiful self up to the heights again
Back to the place where you belong
So...
Sing, my sister... sing!
Let your voice be heard
What won't kill you will make you strong
Sing, my sister... sing!
C'mon my sisters now
Sing loud and sing proud
Sing my sister... sing!
Use your voice to call out
Let your voice be heard
Use your voice
For freedom
Let your voice be heard
Everywhere you go
For freedom
Yes freedom

Esperanza Spalding has always resolutely, intuitively and deftly expanded upon both her art and herself as a world-renowned genre-bending composer, bassist and vocalist. 7 collaborative and 5 solo albums into her career Spalding’s work, grounded in jazz traditions but never bound by them, has won her 4 Grammy Awards.
Spalding’s latest album, Emily’s D+Evolution, has been a commercial and critical success - ranking #41 on Complex’s 50 Best Albums of 2016, #9 on TIME’s Top 10, #48 on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 and #28 on NPR’s Top 50. Described as an “unclassifiable art-funk-prog-bop concept opus... about identity, an unflinching look at love as theater, simmering rage over dream deferred and class privilege”, Spalding is one of the brightest and bravest new face of jazz and music in 21st century.*

If one can't wait until amazons supposed stock date of January 15th for $19.99, they are available at the slightly higher price of $24.95 at Universal Studios Hollywood. I personally couldn't wait for Johnny. XD
