'Starlight' Sindy was sold with a basic body and side parted crimped hair in blonde or a dark brunette. The blonde had a red shimmering jumpsuit and red kitten heels, while the brunette had a green version.
The fabric used probably never got a proper "wear and tear" test since it doesn't answer well to any type of play.
My friend had the green version and the fabric started to flake almost immediately. This one must have been kept in a box.
The blonde doll almost always has ash blonde hair, but I have one with a more standard yellowish blonde hair as well. Not sure how common that is.

I traded a doll like this from another friend back in the day. I put her head on an active body and gave her hair a trim and named her Camilla. So this obviously isn't her, haha!
Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic doll each year, starting in 1973. They called her 'Funtime' Sindy.
The 1984 model had a lovely 'housewife' sort of dress and white sandals. She was available in blond, brunette and auburn.

Me: Where are you off to in such a hurry?
Sindy: Oh, I thought we were done. I just made scones and was about to eat them when you called and asked me over.
Me: Ah! Do forgive me for trespassing on your scones time!
Sindy: Not at all! Why don't you tag along? I'll put the kettle on.
Me: Don't mind if I do.... Er, you didn't forget to lock the door before you left I hope?
Sindy: No, why?
Me: Well, we've had a few break-ins lately.. by little uns..
Sindy: Good heavens! The little Blythes!
We hurried out.
---'Starlight' Sindy from 1985 was a hit, so when Pedigree launched the "New Face" Sindy of 1986, they decided to go with what they knew would sell. ---
1986 'Starlight' Sindy was sold with a basic body and side parted, curled blond hair for both the green and red variation. This lass got the curls, but not a very impressive side part.
Pedigree hadn't yet learned that the fabric pealed easily in this jumpsuit, so they used it again, slightly modified with a collar that stands up, Velcro fastening in front instead of back and higher placed pockets.
This green one is in almost mint condition and you can see how lovely it shimmers.
