People are lined up for an up-close view of the the house and grounds on the Historic Garden Week Tour. Captain John Sinclair, privateer and "colorful citizen," lived here from 1778-1781. Andrew Mackie built the house around 1758. Mackie's daughter Mary married John Sinclair. They are my great-great-great-great grandparents.
A thrilling processional extravaganza through the streets of Wick. The legendary voyage to America by Henry Sinclair was brought to life by a cast of hundreds. Theatre Modo worked with over 200 young people from across Caithness to create the performance. Groups were involved creating routines using stilt walking, fire performance, dance and street theatre, while others made props, costumes, lanterns and banners for the event
