Memorial to George Sinclair at Kvam. This was the location of a previous incarnation of Kvam church (until the 1770's).
These two weren't as keen as the little guy with the bad haircut when it came to looking into the lens, so I clicked and whistled at them for a couple of minutes until they approached me to see just what kind of a bizarre creature was making all the unusual noise. It resulted in a nice duo shot, I think!

This is a former Sinclair station way out east of Tulsa on Admiral. The overhang indicates a Phillips 66 used to reside here(it has been painted over, but the red glowing stripe is evident). The thing that gets me is the banner over the pumps... reminds me of a Chevron. Anyone have any input?
It is not certain the dating of any version of these seals. This is what has been found. The images beg at least one clean up project to render a good copy. We know at the very least, the family was Sinclair, St. Clair or Sinkler. I think I have some history stashed somewhere. I will look.
I suppose that Committing Thy Work to God keeps the various family members from otherwise being committed. But then, every family tree can use some pruning!

Sinclair's Oyster Bar dates from 1720, and, though most things about Manchester have changed since then, it still serves its oysters, along with pub meals. In centuries gone by, collectively called The Shambles with the Old Wellington Inn it was stood on what was then the main route from London to Carlisle, a major stopping off point for all kinds of hungry travellers heading north and south.
It was almost demolished in the early 1970s, to make way for the lower part of the scheme which gave us the Arndale Centre, the old Marks and Spencer's and Market Place redevelopment. Instead the buildings were raised 15ft above the original level and reopened in 1981.
I haven't since a Sinclair station in awhile. When I was a kid, gas station would give stuff away to get a person's business. I had this blow up dinosaur that my Dad got from a Sinclair station. It was one of my favorite toys.
