This is a former Sinclair station way out east of Tulsa on Admiral. The overhang indicates a Phillips 66 used to reside here(it has been painted over, but the red glowing stripe is evident).
UPDATE: As of Fall '09 the pylon sign is gone.

The Sinclair Research C5 is a battery electric vehicle invented by Sir Clive Sinclair and launched by Sinclair Vehicles Ltd in the United Kingdom on 10 January 1985. The vehicle is a battery-assisted tricycle steered by a handlebar beneath the driver's knees. Powered operation is possible making it unnecessary for the driver to pedal. Its top speed of 15 miles per hour, is the fastest allowed in the UK without a driving licence. It is powered by a 200W or 250W motor. It sold for £399 plus £29 for delivery.
It became an object of media and popular ridicule during the 1980s in Britain and was a commercial disaster, selling only around 17,000 units. Sinclair claimed it remained "the best selling electric vehicle" as recently as 2010, although it was overtaken in 2011 when the Nissan Leaf had sold over 20,000 units.

Who is your Female Conservation Hero or Mentor?
Jane Goodall is my conservation hero because her work demonstrates the importance of determination, patience, detailed observation, and compassion. Despite the barriers restricting women in science and spending months in the field barely obtaining glimpses of wary chimpanzees before they grew to trust her, Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking insights of chimpanzee behavior changed the global perspective on animal intelligence. Today she travels the world; sharing her experiences and knowledge about chimpanzees and the threats they face to inspire her audience to make our shared planet a better place. The stories of Jane Goodall discovering new facts about chimpanzees in the middle of a dense forest and the impact she has made on the world inspired me to become a wildlife biologist.
Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I went to UC-Davis and obtained a B.S. in wildlife, fish, and conservation biology.
What’s your favorite thing about working for the Service?
I love working for the Service because I am constantly learning about diverse topics such as the native plants the Chumash used as medicine to the reasons the light-footed clapper rail is listed as Endangered through the Endangered Species Act.
If you could have one incredible animal adaptation, what would it be?
If I could have one incredible animal adaptation, I would want to have the complex nasal cavities that polar bears use to smell food up to 20 miles away. That way I could smell all of the restaurants within a 20 mile radius and go to the one that smells the best!

Cameron Sinclair is the founder of Architecture for Humanity, a non-profit set up to seek and promote architecture and design solutions to humanitarian crises. For the last 5 years his team has initiated and implemented a number of programs including housing ideas for returning refugees in Kosovo; mobile health clinics to combat HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa; mine clearance programs and playground building in the Balkans; and earthquake recovery assistance in Turkey and Iran.
Currently the organization is running a project to build a soccer field / healthcare facility for young girls in Somkhele in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, tackling issues of homelessness and poverty in inner-city America and researching Rethinking Tent City, a project to create and encourage social and economic change in long-term refugee camps and large settlements through sustainable design interventions.
As a guest on BBC World Service, CNN International and National Public Radio he has spoken on topics ranging from sustainable development and how policy effects design to the global AIDS pandemic.
Cameron is also the co-founder and somewhat active member of the Uncoordinated Soccer League.
