Since the first grizzly out of hibernation has been spotted in Grand Teton, I thought I would post this cutie from a few years ago. They are so fun in the snow.

Since 2007, with the government of Rafael Correa, the tourism brand "Ecuador Ama la Vida" has been transformed, with which the nation's tourism promotion would be sold. Focused on considering it as a country friendly and respectful of nature, natural biodiversity, and cultural diversity of the peoples. And for this, means of exploiting them are developed along with the private economy.
The country has two cities with UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Quito and Cuenca, as well as two natural UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Galapagos Islands and Sangay National Park in addition to one World Biosphere Reserve, such as the Cajas Massif. Culturally, the Toquilla straw hat and the culture of the Zapara indigenous people are recognized. The most popular sites for national and foreign tourists have different nuances due to the various tourist activities offered by the country.
Ever since I was a small child I loved this little bird and dreamed that some day I would see him. Up until that point I only saw it on the cover of a book. My first glimpse of one was in Connecticut many years later and I stopped the car to take in his beauty !! He is small but packed with gorgeous colors. Last week I was able to capture an image in Central Florida . Needless to say I was thrilled .
Wishing you a beautiful and blessed day !!!!!!!!!!!
I got your fingerprints on my skin
Ever since that day you've let me in
I feel your vibes, they are circlin'
You cut so deep, cut so deep
Who needs love leaning to one side
We're free fallin' in the jungle lights?
You have it all, got me on standby
You cut so deep, cut so deep
'Cause I thought that the trust had gone
Didn't see this comin' along
You made me a believer
You made me a believer
And now I'm
I'm shoutin' from the rooftop, baby
Tell me, will you come and save me?
I'm shoutin' from the rooftop, baby
Come pick me up, come pick me up
Are you just a lover or my twin soul?
Fire the shots and I need to know
I'm shoutin' from the rooftop, baby
Come pick me up, come pick me up
((Nico Santos - Rooftop))
Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry, "More light." Sunlight. Torchlight. Candlelight. Neon, incandescent lights that banish the darkness from our caves to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators. Big floods for the night games at Soldier's Field. Little tiny flashlights for those books we read under the covers when we're supposed to be asleep. Light is more than watts and footcandles. Light is metaphor. Light is knowledge, light is life, light is light. ~Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider
It's about 2 months since I last picked up my camera and a combination of time, energy and motivation seem to be conspiring against me at the moment. With nothing new to process and upload, it's back to the archives and a shot from a beautifully peaceful morning up at Buttermere back in March
A selection of my images are now available to purchase at James Bell's site here
Since I am drowning in pictures I am going to hop through all the places where I have been otherwise it might take 100 years before I post really nice shots from locations I would like to share.
This shot was taken in the area of the Lyngen Alps at Lenangsoyra. It is the most northern location I have been during my trip at almost 70 degrees NB in the polar circle. I was here early June and as you can see there still was a lot of snow. In fact in most of the places in Norway at that time there was snow everywhere. It gave a wonderful view to the landscapes.
This area is part of a cape where I enjoyed the views of the fjords but also birds flying by like puffins and razorbills.

Since the end of the last cold snap I had not seen her until a couple of days back when as I walked to her area two kingfishers came out of a nearby tree and perched for a second on the fence. I do hope it was her and as Kingfishers will start to form pairs in February with some luck I may see some courtship action soon
Since finding treasures on the curb is so popular in the city, maybe someone will rescue this forlorn plant......
Since than we have got a chair-lift, Vas'ka often sits on the steps in the middle of the stairs and looks at the approaching chair. And only when it is very close, Vaska gives way.
Thank you all for visits, faves and comments - greatly appreciated!
Since June 1997, the Hotel Landhaus Milser is located in the green belt between the cities of Dusseldorf and Duisburg. The architecture is typically Italian. We went on a beautiful autumn day to the Country House. And I shot this photo. The picture was taken with a Samsung EX 1.

It's been a while since I posted one of my safari Leopards that I love so much (the Leopards, not my photos). I though the BnW might be appropriate here as this was a night sighting with the light coming from our guide's torch.
It's funny how you can suddenly feel very small when sitting in the back of an open-top jeep without sides in the pitch blackness of a South African night in the middle of the bush with no signs of humanity for many many kilometres. Then your guide shines a torch on a leopard mid-prowl, and she roars into the night. Whether in warning or anger or for help I don't know. Then the calls & cackles of hyenas come answering back, in number. You feel very alive, and vulnerable. And thrilled to be taking the scene in with all your senses, sight, smell, sound and the "feel" of the moment. Wondrous memories of a wondrous time for me.
Have a great weekend out there everyone and watch out for those leopards & hyenas.
Since we always buy a tree that we can plant after Christmas, it stays outside. This ornament hangs by my kitchen window.
Well been a week since my last post and working on some new hobbies so this isn’t my usual post. I have begun to treat myself with some preventative herbal medicine right now I am working on my immune defenses given its everything season out there. I spent many months reading and researching and have narrowed some things down that seemed to have some great abilities to fire up the immune system pre sickness and I think this one so far is a winner you can look up the ingredients and their benefits on your own if you are interested as I can only tell you what works for me.

I like mine herbs powdered so mix in a spice grinder for maximum extraction; otherwise 3-4 tsp in a 1l mason jar filled with boiling water, let steep 10 minutes drink then hot or cold and a spoonful of honey makes the medicine go down so does a slice or two lemon.

Since we first put up the Christmas Tree, this is the position that our cat has adopted, when she is not in a lap, of course. I don't know if she is guarding the tree or patiently awaiting Santa.

I HAVE A NEW MAC COMPUTER , AND I UPLOAD THE PHOTOS DIRECT FROM MY I PHOTOS TO FLICKR, BUT NOW I'LL DO FROM THE FLICKR UPLOAD. IT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN MY OLD COMPUTER.
THANK YOU DEAR FRIENDS.
Ever since a child I've had a fear of worms or anything that resembles them (probably due to the fact a friend put a handful of them down the back of my shirt on a fishing trip!). When I discovered this amazing sim today I couldn't help but smile when I encountered Mr Wormlike! What an amazing place, constructed completely from scribbles, if you've never been the LM is below
Since they chopped down the Lawson's cypress near my office, I miss seeing these beauties regularly, so I was really happy to spot one at Swynnerton last Saturday.
Since three years in the North American bird-watching.
I have been obsessed with the target birds.
Atlantic puffins and Tufted puffin there is a much difference.(A small number.)
Very excited go there,I have to drive and 196km for one way.
Although hard, but get everyone support. It was worth it.(come to my mind.)
Actually appears twice.
Just three minutes to capture the action, so you know, so limited.
Hey Dear all, if any found, please share.
The next target bird is the "King Eider". (Currently learned in Barrow of Alaska.)
Thanks to all bird-watching and willing to share the location of friends.
Such nicely..
Thanks to your sharing.
Virtually bring you happiness.
The fallen Autumn leaves still on this woodland scene in spring added interest and a bit of a lead in through the scene to the light.
Its a while since I posted a proper landscape shot that wasn’t ICM and ive a few still lurking on my hard drive to post process from winter and spring trips!
Since we don't water our grass much in the summer patches of it goes dormant. Here's a stray blade, missed when my son mowed last, that went to flower. I spritzed it with water.
The Broads are manmade waterways. Along with many other mills, Horsey Mill was built to drain the water to create more farmland. Here are some facts quoted from. www.nationaltrustscones.com/2019/10/horsey-windpump.html?m=1
“Here are some historical facts:
There has been a drainage mill on the site since the early 1700s
There are similar mills dotted all around this part of Norfolk - by draining the land using wind power, landowners could make more area available for farming
Drainage continues today - there's an electric pump doing all the work these days, but if it wasn't there then the area would be flooded:
The area used to be an island used for grazing or keeping horses (hence the name), with one access road that regularly flooded
The current windpump structure was built in 1912 on the foundations of the 19th century mill
Horsey Windpump was working until 1943 when it was struck by lightning
It was acquired by the National Trust and has been restored - its sails were set in motion for the first time in 76 years in May this year, which must have been a great moment
As with all mills, it's not the most accessible property - there are several floors and 61 steps to negotiate to get right to the top, most of which are very narrow (I can report that the young sconepals cared not a jot about this and were scampering up the stairs like squirrels)”
Since there is snow outside, bring spring indoors

I enjoy the grainy aspect when shooting with a low resolution device. Some seem to not favor having large foregrounds or backgrounds but this is how I feel great proportion and balance is gained. I tried many different angles with this shot and personally preferred being able to show the one angler having his morning smoke and the only way I could accomplish this was having their heads above the shore line. By doing this as well highlights the sunrise reflections on the face of the other sportsman. I feel this just ads to the depth of the image. since both heads have a unique presence. Sure I could crop out some of the foreground (Many will say I should) but it's my style and signature if you see my gallery

I bought this tiny vintage (1940s) dainty tin from Etsy. Since I can't get out for a rummage for photo props...and let's face it we all need new props from time to time...I've had to resort to looking online. I may have accidentally ordered a new lens today as well. Ooops!
This was taken using my Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Omni filter. The hearts are from my craft stash.
Been in SL since 2007.
This August 22nd I'll be 12 years in this world that I live in, just like I live in my RL. No lies at all!
I can't accept one simple lie - either in SL or in RL.
So, we met in this metaverse reality, like eight years ago?
You were never easy, I was never easy.
I'm not easy at all and you never left. Kept coming back to me, with your own truth and me with mine.
This is probably the last image we take ...
... before we meet in person!!
I only have to be grateful to you, the one who lever left. The only person who never left me, despite everything I carry - good or bad, you always believed in me, trusted me. This is priceless in life, either real or "imaginary".
Can't wait to see you!
This time, I know I'll be completely vulnerable.
Thank you M!

Every time I think of you
I always catch my breath
And I'm still standing here
And you're miles away
And I'm wondering why you left...

Every once in awhile after going out and taking a bunch of photos, as I am looking at them on my computer, I come across one that haunts me... and I know that I will be going back to retake it, or do something a little bit different with it. This is one of them. I keep wondering WHO should be sitting in these chairs... clearly they are arranged and waiting for a spirited conversation between.... WHO...and and what? Are all the chairs occupied, or Is someone missing? I have to think about this one for a bit. So...expect to see this again!
Who are you missing? I'm sure in these strange times that we are living through, we are all missing something or someone. This is just a story waiting to be written! Stay tuned!

Every year, since I was born, I spend some vacation days on my parents' farm...
As the years have passed by, I've seen this place go from glory to almost total abandoning... People age, the physical strength decreases and so the things start to fade as well... But to me this is one of the most precious places on Earth, so this year I've decided to share a bit of it with you my friends while I still can come back here... because no one knows what the future may bring... :-)
