In the back of the exhibition hall there was a large semi-spherical screen with projector set up and shrouded in a black dome. On screen was a Celestia-like universe simulator, only with more power and better controls.
The guy running the booth was talking us through a tour of the galaxy, and then the known universe, mixing in astronomical facts with history.
This is stuff I know, and don't find at all surprising, but I was still blown away by at all.
Now, what was the point of having it and who was the company? Never did figure that part out.
In the Western Canada Aviation Museum at Winnipeg-James Armstrong Richardson Airport, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Looks like its made from Stinson parts.
I saw this from the Wonder Wheel. It's kinda beautiful in its crappiness. A 3D motion simulator. I'm guessing the person who operates it lives behind it in the Winnebago whose roof you can see in the lower left of this photo.
