All pilots need to go through training, both initial & recurrent. That's how safety-conscious airlines are. As someone who takes care of training & development, I go in when I can to look, feel & listen to the people involved in development events. That's me, partially hidden, after the first time I landed the aircraft in Macau (that's what the simulation was about) - I think my heart rolled out of my chest the moment the Captain on my left disengaged the auto pilot!
