Every landing a carrier-born United States Naval Aviator makes it executed as if it were being conducted aboard the carrier.
To the uneducated eye, a carrier-style landing looks like a "controlled crash," but to those of us that know what's going on, you know that we've just watched a precision flight maneuver that only a few other aviators in the world have mastered.
PNTL and UNPOL carry out the simulation exercise on how to cooperate in dealing with the demonstrators during elections. GNR and Military Police also participate in this event. Dili 8 February 2012. Photo by UNMIT/Bernardino Soares

Students from the Colleges of Optometry and Nursing at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and students from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy participated in a Poverty Simulation. The simulation was designed to expose participants to the complexities of poverty. Each student played the role of a specific family member, and throughout each “week,” they had to overcome certain challenges and meet different needs for their family. UMSL faculty, staff and volunteers helped with the simulation.
