Me-Made May made me inspired. Inspiration amassed daily by all the other amazingly talented, kind and like-minded peers. MMM reignited my passion for sewing projects, I was excited to sew, blog and post my pics (no matter how bad my selfies were). I thank everyone for such a wonderful experience.

On a very rainy day... Took this picture from inside of my car.

Russ Miles and David Dawson came to Skills Matter and gave a one day workshop on how to inject simplicity in software. Working in teams, delegates created their code to navigate a real world AR drone (without crashing it!), learning how to break down a problem and tradeoff for the right values in Architecture, Design and Code. How to create the right number of tests to build the right level of confidence and how to enable Real Application Agility through Simplicity.

You can see the SkillsCasts (film, code, slides) of the day at: skillsmatter.com/event-details/home/russ-miles-practical-...

ODC simplicity

"Je vous ai apporté des bonbons

Parce que les fleurs c'est périssable"

Jacques Brel

English :

"I brought you some candy

Because flowers are perishable"

Jacques Brel

This challenge brought this song to my head. It brought me back to the simplicity of my youth in the north of France, where Jacques Brel is the old fashion singer that everyone loves.

I wanted to be Gimp free but did not like my fingers, so I desaturated the picture a bit. Added a soft glow too. I am still looking for my style, for my balance.

When i stayed in Uganda this is how my friend kept her toothbrush and paste - tucked into the wood on her hut wall!

Made from Swiss Cotton. I like the little details like the neck gathers and the back loop closure.

I just noticed the reduced price. A Depression sales trick, maybe?

That peach-colored dress with the striped trim is wicked.

Simplicity 9044; ©1970; Toddlers' and Child's Overalls in Two Lengths: The long or short overalls with front buttoned suspenders and buttoned side tabs have patch pockets and optional snap fastened crotch. 7 pattern pieces.

Find joy in the simple things of life...they are all around you! Blessings to ALL my Flickr Friends! Love, Amy :)

I made simplicity pattern 2443 designed by Cynthia Rowley out of a knit I've been hoarding for a little over a year. Really easy and serger friendly!

Shirtwaist dress fabric. I've found it incredibly difficult to find a fabric! I want a big check b/w gingham but I think the cut of the skirt will make it a spectacularly bad choice. So my theme is 'English rose'. Stark difference to my recent Purple Hazel! This is a rayon cotton blend and will probably need a lining...

Vintage S3890. Doing my best pattern cover pose :D
