“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”

Leonardo da Vinci

This is simplicity 2587 designed by Cynthia Rowley. A really easy pattern to make on the serger. On this version, I eliminated the binding detail at the waist and also used packaged binding which looks more grey in person than showing here, it's a nice contrast to the green linen. Up close, you can also see I modified the bust area and overlapped the two front pieces so not so much cleavage is showing. I am busty and this would have been a problem. Now there is a little showing but I can easily wear a thin tank top to coordinate underneath.

I combined the hood, sleeves, and finishing details of the Oliver + S School Days pattern with the body of Simplicity 2534 to make this jacket

The best describe of this is - simplicity. The simpliest bike I've ever had!

I know it's a bad photo, and I will attempt a better one on a sunny day, but I had to post a pic. Very proud of my first skirt.

This pattern is for both a leisure jacket and a zip jacket. Both jackets have long, set-in sleeves easted to fit cuffs, lined patch pockets and optional top-stitching detail. View 1 jacket features a collar and center front seperating zipper and is not lined. The lined jacket in view 2 has a "V" neckline, front button closing and optional purchased elbow patches. This is a great pattern!

I love the blue version. 5+ yards in plaid; 3 3/4 yards solid.

This was one of the first vintage patterns I bought.

I made it a bit shorter than the pattern called for, didn't add the pockets, and made my own hand-rolled bias.

Zen for your walls.

Small nature studies.

Quietly created as drawing meditations.

Each one is unique.

Peaceful simplicity. Slow looking. Radiating stillness.

These are delicate and deceptively simple drawings on quality artist's paper. Matted to fit a standard 8x10" frame.

My art explores an ongoing love of nature and celebrates the brighter, calmer, radiant side of life. It is a reminder that the world smiles with possibility.

Russ Miles and David Dawson came to Skills Matter and gave a one day workshop on how to inject simplicity in software. Working in teams, delegates created their code to navigate a real world AR drone (without crashing it!), learning how to break down a problem and tradeoff for the right values in Architecture, Design and Code. How to create the right number of tests to build the right level of confidence and how to enable Real Application Agility through Simplicity.

"Je vous ai apporté des bonbons

Parce que les fleurs c'est périssable"

Jacques Brel

English :

"I brought you some candy

Because flowers are perishable"

Jacques Brel

This challenge brought this song to my head. It brought me back to the simplicity of my youth in the north of France, where Jacques Brel is the old fashion singer that everyone loves.

I wanted to be Gimp free but did not like my fingers, so I desaturated the picture a bit. Added a soft glow too. I am still looking for my style, for my balance.
