Daisies - my favourite flowers.. simple and cheerful beauties They represen purity,innocence,childhood,simplicity and loyal love.(I used daisies for my wedding bouquets! ) The name comes from the Anglo-Saxon "daes eage," or "day's eye," which refers to the way the flower opens and closes with the sun. Daisies remind me that simple things/pleasures in this life, are often free and waiting right in front of our eyes.

nights are still warm in moscow. one of the simplest summer pleasures i continue to enjoy before bedtime is going to a store on the corner to buy a bottle of milk wearing just a tshirt, shirts and sandals.
Ok, so we are back to Somerset House again, and the kids at the fountains...I rememeber at one point saying to Clairey that I had taken at least 50 shots of the same thing. She said...just keep shooting!! I am so glad I listened to her!!

last night i had a serious moment where i was like "really? i picked out this color?" but this morning working on it i realized that i do like it. it reminds me of a pair of socks i had in high school; my aunt and uncle gave them to me, to go with my ducky birkenstocks, and for many many years they were my favorite socks. when they finally got a hole in them, i was terribly sad.

pretty excited to be sharing these lovelies with you!! I like to recycle, repurpose. it is nicer on our poor environment.
so I made these tins, for you and all. I used vintage wallpaper, recycled scraps of paper, and various bits and pieces to cover them. I hope you like.
One of my favorite time as a kid was when we had fresh #injera made. It was taken as bad luck to remove injera from its stack and eat it before all the dough was gone. So as a kid we had to wait till the last two or three to be made so that mom would smear it with a mixture of #berbere and #qibe. The smell makes your mouth water even before it's done. The butter and spice on top of the injera would almost caramelize and the injera hardens just a teenie tiny bit. Served with tea and bread, it was heaven.

Each of my friends and I lead separate lives after college days. We seldom see each other, but thanks to our conversations over coffee we try to catch up with what's going on in our lives. These times of pleasant conversations warm my heart and I carry with me till we meet again.

I forgot I never uploaded this shot. This was during my terrible dsl troubles and picnik wouldn't operate right.
Classic example of one of my fav weekend rituals. Coffee and a pastry. It's like a drug. I must have one (at least) once a week.
