Not everything is possible, not everything is success . . . but what is success ? what is possible? For me the most important part of the process is experience & learning. Experiment - you can call it . . . After all isn’t that what life is . . . Of course “what if I s..k “ always cross our minds. But then again comparing to the world’s existence of billion of years even if we actually s..k (subjectively speaking) it lasts only a split moment of a second

the last light of day blankets the city beach of palma, turning the horizon into a canvas of warm, glowing hues. two children, silhouetted against the golden backdrop, lose themselves in the simple joy of playing by the water's edge. their laughter, carried by the gentle evening breeze, mingles with the rhythmic sound of the waves. this moment, framed by the distant mountains and the tranquil sea, captures the timeless essence of carefree childhood and the serene beauty of a sunset at the beach.

the world stretches out before her, but all she sees is the joy of the next step. the glow of daylight pulls her forward, while shadows dance in her wake, her reflection lingering just a moment behind. in this silent space, she is a burst of life, running toward everything and nothing at once. the echoes of her small sandals tap softly on the polished floor, but in her world, it is the sound of freedom.

Long Island unobstructed vies of sunrises & sunsets took my breath away... can't wait to do it again this month (maybe just a little closer to Brooklyn)

Years ago, I had dinner at that restaurant. I was looking at the other side. I was staring at the exact midpoint, but this time, instead of staring at the fussing and buzzing of the streets, I was staring back into the void as if I was looking through the time glass of years passed by… I'm almost there but I'm here. Everything is the same except my heart in that moment.

This charming photograph captures a little monkey in its natural habitat, enjoying a moment of newfound freedom in the jungle. After a recent rain shower, the monkey is bathed in the warm, welcome sunlight, its fur glistening with drops of water. The image beautifully conveys a sense of relief and simple joy, as the creature takes a moment to bask in the light and dry off, a perfect portrayal of life's small pleasures in the wild.

How do you know you are in love ... you just know

I Tell You It Is October

There’s something olden and golden and lost

In the strange ancestral light,

There’s something tender and loving and sad

In October’s copper might.

End of something, old, old, old…

Always missing, sad, sad, sad…

Saying something… love, love, love…

Akh! I tell you it is October,

And I defy you now and always

To deny there is not love

Staring foolishly at skies

Whose beauty but God defies.

For in October’s ancient glow

A little after dusk

Love strides through the meadow

Dropping her burnished husk

When is it the time we start to think pleasures have to come from money or spending big bucks? May be 20's, 30's or 40's?

Did you have that in your recent vacation? You fly on expensive air ticket and go to foreign cities, stay in pricey hotels and eat fine dining. And we believe pleasures come from these big spending. We need to get away from home and spend in order to become happy.

Do we still remember a few pieces of papers and the get together with little friends doing origami? Did you forget those simple joys of colours, shapes and laughters when you were still a child?

Do you still remember these simple joys?

One of the tasks of photography is to discover these simple joys in our life too.

Have a great Monday and week!

..must be to a great extent a quiet life, for it is only in an atmosphere of quiet that true joy dare live ~Betrand Russell

People always think that happiness is a faraway thing," thought Francie, "something complicated and hard to get. Yet, what little things can make it up; a place of shelter when it rains - a cup of strong hot coffee when you're blue; for a man, a cigarette for contentment; a book to read when you're alone - just to be with someone you love. Those things make happiness.

Simple joys are the great ones. It’s in a cup of cappuccino with a book. It’s walking the streets. It’s all the philosophical thoughts that go through my mind that, as crazy as they might be to the rest of the world, is the zen for me. Last busy semester with thesis, posters & article writing, I need a place to cool down & not to pull my hair out by June.

And you, November, are stunning. I don't just mean that you're beautiful, which you certainly are. I mean that you radiate kindness and laughter at the same time that you're besting everyone with your knife skills. You trust people and believe in their goodness, even when everyone around you attacks and betrays you. I've never met anyone like you in my life and I would have to be the most foolish person alive not to tell you so.

I believe in life, we need three things: health, nature & someone to love & love us back. I do think that if a person has that mutual love, the depression rate & suicide rate would be much lower. P. S. Italy has the lowest suicide rate. From the civilized world, South Korea & USA lead the chart! The US is #31, and Italy is #151. Last night’s show and Sylvia Plath’s suicide, which some believe was a result of the side effects of the medication (and present-day antidepressants and control substance prescription overabundance), make me wonder if our present life is more of a side effect that eventually will catch up with humankind. Maybe we’re nothing more than animals with high cognitive function that keep forgetting about our basic needs.

The champa flowers looked like girls dancing with swirling long skirts :)

As a kid my favorite thing in a summer was eating outside. It’s silly how much pleasure & happiness I still get from picnic or snack somewhere in the woods or by the water with a cup of hot coffee 💛 ...

"The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything." (Unknown)

[T]he flower is made of non-flower elements. We can describe the flower as being full of everything. There is nothing that is not present in the flower. We see sunshine, we see the rain, we see clouds, we see the earth, and we also see time and space in the flower.

A flower, like everything else, is made entirely of non-flower elements. The whole cosmos has come together in order to help the flower manifest herself, The flower is full of everything except one thing: a separate self, a separate identity.

The flower cannot be by herself alone. The flower has to inter-be with the sunshine, the cloud and everything in the cosmos. If we understand being in terms of inter-being, then we are much closer to the truth. Inter-being is not being and it is not non-being. Inter-being means being empty of a separate identity, empty of a separate self,

This striking image showcases a solitary rubber duck, forgotten in the calm waters of a pool, a whimsical reminder of playful times. The duck's vibrant yellow and bold red stripes pop against the subtle greens of the water, reflecting tranquility and a touch of nostalgia. The reflection in the water adds depth, creating a serene, almost meditative scene. This photograph captures more than just a forgotten toy—it reflects the quiet moments of leisure and the simple joys that linger in our memories, long after the splash and laughter have faded.

Looks better On Black

When I look at this basket bubbling over with a mixture of red raspberries, yellow raspberries (such a treat, they're slightly sweeter than their red cousins), and luscious blackberries, the words from (and title of) a great 1970s song by the Canadian band Trooper spring to mind: "We're here for a good time, not a long time."

That tune has always been one that I strongly associate with summer, and while the first line of the chorus wasn't likely penned about berries (but instead life itself), there's something about it that seems so true of berries, too. They're not meant to hang around forever, but instead to impart as much fun as they can into your meals during the short time they're living in your kitchen :-)
