Day 4: Mother's and Father's Day Cards. Today I only got a chance at making 1 card because of other commitments. I decided to try Jennifer McGuire's sample card since I have already made my Mother's Day cards. This is partial die cutting and have never tried this. I also die cut some stars from the Large Holiday dies and randomly placed them on the card. Brown's and Dark Blue's used for a His card.

Day 4: Stretch Your Stamps. I made this card completely inspried by Shari Carroll. She used Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy stamps and requested we use another stamp set and think outside the box. This set I used is called Lots of Dots from Simon Says Stamps.

This card was made for the Distressed and Sanded Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Stamped Harlequin (Darkroom Door) onto Designer pattern paper with Mahogany distress ink. Sanded the paper lightly with Tim Holtz sanding tool. Applied a thin layer of Tarnish Brass crackle paint around three sides of the paper. When dried, I sanded over the paint lightly. Tore bottom edge of paper and then swiped Tea Dye distress ink over torn edge.

The Reindeer and words (Essentials 2 Collection-Christmas Reindeer) from Darkroom Door were stamped onto white scrap card with Barn Door distress ink and cut out.

The words were sanded around edges with Tim Holtz sander. Reindeer is attached with foam tape. White pearls added next to words and reindeer. Red pearl for Reindeer`s nose!

Pattern paper is attached to folded red card.
