I found my Simba and Nala watch from when I was like 5. It still fits my wrist!! It needs some new batteries, though. :3
Photofunia alteration of two taxidermied lions photographed at the hunter's mecca, Cabela's, in Buda, Texas.
Here is an apt description from the Interwebs' "yelp":
Cabela's is a true destination. It's massive! The actual number of retail items is vastly overwhelmed by the amount of floor space dedicated to:
1) A magic mountain (split into 4 climate zones, naturally) for the taxidermied animals of North America
2) A lunker showtank aquarium
3) An African Safari
4) The native and exotic game of Texas (taxidermied)
5) Laser rifle shooting gallery (suck, it's not free)
6) A cafe (with buffet options)
7) A "general store" with fudge
8) A conference room (*also rentable for kids' birthday parties)
Simba is another stray who has wandered into Dawn's Restaraunt ... he's quick to run over whenever he sees me venture outside ... He's actually quite friendly and likes getting pet ... sometimes even more than he likes eating the food.
Simba has staked his claim on my son's bed. It's a good thing Brandon is out if town.
I checked Crag's List for any lost cat listings and found nothing. Maybe he's microchipped. I don't have hight hopes of this, but there's always a chance. Hopefully I can have him scanned tomorrow.
Lit using a patch of sunshine just below him reflecting off the wall. I'm not sure about the crop - I tried a square one too, but that felt a little uninteresting (the original shot was wider but looking at it I felt a crop that focused on his eyes and the light catching him under his chin would work best).

At rest, but also alert to the sounds of the neighbourhood. This shot was taken just before this one - I think he'd had enough of me clicking the camera at him!
HAPPY FURRY FRIDAY!!
It was so fun visiting with my dear friend, Valerie, on FURRY FRIDAY...so MUCH fun, for we went to her house after lunch to see her beautiful cat, SIMBA! and that means...FLICKR PHOTO OP...for SIMBA is an incrediblly beautiful cat.
Valerie volunteers at the SPCA, animal shelter in San Francisco. Several years ago, she saw this dear cat who it seemed no one would adopt for he was older and somehow acquired a bad rep from a previous owner (who should of received the bad rep!) .
Valerie bonded with SIMBA for he was such a love-kitty . After a LONG time, Valerie took SIMBA home and they have had an incredible lovely bond over the years. SIMBA is affectionate, sweet, very loving, and just an all around beautiful cat. Which goes to show, there are times when a cat may have been given an improper negative classification that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the cat!
May everyone find a loving cat such as SIMBA!
