Oh and I do hope Simba's a boy. We have two calico cats and two grey tabby ones that look exactly like Momma Cat Kyla. The calicos are apparently definite females which can be told purely by their genetic colouring. So I'd like the grey tabbies to be male.
Simba, rAmmoRRison's son turned a year old a few days ago. Here's wishing the darling child the very best. :)
They have stiff, hard plastic bodies but I find them quite handsome, esp the dark-haired one. And very touching with their tummies bulging because of the thick pants rubbers =D
And yes, it was a spontaneous outdoor photoshoot with dolls, which I almost never do! Naturally I didn't go to where children run around, but otherwise the place is quite crowded. So I found out I don't give a sh*t about what folks think about me handling helpless male dolls in plane sight XDD

Su madre es la reina Sarabi, y es sobrino de Scar hermano menor de Mufasa. Está siempre acompañado por su amiga Nala, y por el mayordomo real, Zazú, quien siempre está pendiente de ambos.
Culpado por la muerte de su padre durante una estampida de ñúes provocada por Scar y las hienas, huye a la jungla lejos de “La Roca del Rey”, Simba se hace amigo de Timón y Pumba, una inverosímil pareja de forasteros, con los que vive una vida fácil en lagos cristalinos, cascadas impresionantes y rodeados de insectos, en un oasis en la sabana. Él hubiera preferido vivir así para siempre si no hubiera sido por Nala, quien le hace reflexionar y dar cuenta de que tiene que cumplir con su destino.

Simba is an abyssinian cat. The focus on this photo is a little soft as the light was a bit low and I shot it hand-held (slight shake blur) and the DoF is shallow. I think I like a little softness sometimes tho', and the colours from the background light are great.

For me a photograph reinstates the memory of a moment, a moment that may not be recaptured for whatever reason, it doesn't have to photographically correct or even in focus, it doesn't have to mean anything to anyone except me.
Simba was 19 years old,blind and had a tumour over his right eye, he never complained, adored company and loved to be warm, very warm ! Charlie and Mollie, our two springer spaniels shared their beds with Sim, he would cuddle into their warm tummies and lay there until the smell or noise of impending food tempted one or both dogs from their beds, then he would wait patiently, sometimes, until they returned, to resume snuggling into their warm bodies.
Sim went to sleep 18/8/2015.
