I played a Silvertone Jupiter many years ago and I'm happy to have been able to add one to my collection now. This shot is right from the camera with no PP at all.
I will never stop being awed by the Caryatids here. At night, especially, the Greek Revival style feels like it belongs in another time, without the roaring traffic, office spaces, and budget hotels boxing it in.
Taken with the Silvertone built in filter on the iPhone.
Camera: Kiev 4a, Jupiter 12 55mm lens. Agfa Silvertone processed in Rodinal @ 1:100. Dundas and Bay.

The lead singer (guy at middle stage front) was the most inspiring of all. Lots of energy and passion.
Shot with an Asahi Pentax Model K, Auto Takumar 55 f1.8 and Agfa Silvertone 400 processed in Diafine.
Here is my 1934 Silvertone 4569 Antique radio. This is one of my favorite pieces in the house, and she's still works! I've heard some programs in Spanish, and German (I think). I'm pretty sure if I put a larger antenna on it, I can maybe pick up Australia - who knows!
In addition to the large "airplane" dial, the green "Tuning Eye" is what seems to attract a lot of attention. The green light is the "Tuning Eye", the more in tune the frequency is, the brighter the eye glows. From what I understand it was the feature to have on tube radios back in the 30s. High tech!

Silvertone was the house brand for radios sold by Sears, Roebuck.
A single bush sunflower forces its way through the cold geometry of a chain-link fence, reaching for light. Its vibrant yellow petals stand defiant against the monochrome steel, a reminder that life seeks a path to thrive even in unwelcoming spaces.
She’s tasty and she’s mine… Finally have a cherry first pressing copy of this classic.

Taken while subway sketching several years ago. Before I started photographing professionally. Canon AE-1, 50mm 1.8, Silvertone 100 (Agfa APX 100).
The carrying handle is missing from this radio. It was also offered with an ivory cabinet (model 8229).
