Just had a very good couple of days watching the Le Mans 24hr race on TV, Eurosport 2 showed the entire race live. It's 100 years since the race was first held although not the 100th race as WWII and other things has caused a few cancellations over the years it was one of the best races I've seen for years with Ferrari winning with Toyota 2nd and Cadillac 3rd.

Endurance sports car racing is one of my favourite forms of motor sport and for many years we went to Silverstone for the six hour and 1000km races, the above photo taken at the 1986 1000km race shows No 19 the Jagermeister Porsche 962 driven by Walter Brun and Frank Jelinski seen at Stowe the car finished 9th.
